I'm an imperial zabrak with 1-3-0-2 in Carbineerand a DH17 snubnose (speed slice, damage powerup). I had master doctor buffs so I shuttled overt into Coronet for some PvP ...Near the shuttle port weretwo red dots: a Bounty Hunter with a pet. I used Muon Gold to boost my mind and he sent the pet after me.

I hit the pet witha bleed, warningshot and /peace. Meanwhile the BHstartedon eyeshot so Ihit him with a chargeshot knockdown and a bleed, and got some distance. He spammed more eye shot and I was going down so I hit /equilibrium (zabrak ability). When you have buffs on health and action, equilibrium is a full mind heal because it divides the points evenly between the 3 bars. So now his action bar was lower than my mind bar and I switched to legshot2 andkilled him (guess he forgot to buy novice medic).

And so I get a tell from the cloning center, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?". OK so it was probably equilibrium that won the fight, but it was a great Carbineer > BH moment

You one-shot him with legshot2 or did you "spam" it?

that is cool...a strategic PvP interaction (at least on your part)...well done!

PvP is a lot of fun in the right setting...more often than not though i usually run out get massive poison and die...or run out and get mind shot spam and die...not a lot of strategy in that...heh

and if you don't mind me asking some advice and jacking your thread...i posted this question, but not sure if i will get a response, what do you think?

-----

I am Marksmen 0-0-4-4 and Carbineer 0-0-0-0

WouldI be better of to drop my Ranged Weapon Support and go with a Carbineer tree?

Say, Marksmen 0-0-4-0 and Carbineer 0-4-0-0

Thanks for your advice! running out of skill points is a bummer...

please ignore my question if you don't want the thread to be skewed from the original post...

Once again, why is it spamming only when a bounty hunter uses a move more than once? So in the name of "strategy" you supposed to use as many differnet moves as you can. If I see action is going, then I can't use legshot alot because that's 'spamming'? Same with health? Is a rifleman spamming when he goes after your mind pool?

Because "spamming" as a Carbineer is more deadly to the Carbineer than his opponent so you don't see many doing it.

Also, spamming requires fast speed. And Carbineers are not as fast at shooting carbines as BHs are.

I never said there was anything wrong with spamming a shot, whether it's eyeshot or legshot. The speed at which eyeshot can be spammed makes it deadlier, but yes I "spammed" legshot as fast as I could to get rid of his action bar. Wouldn't you?

Ok, we should clear something up i think. Take spamming and any notions of fairness out of the picture. Its the devs job to balance the game.

You win or you lose. Its that simple. If you dont use every single advantage you can to win a fight then your stupid and deserve to lose.

Theres no points for style and every single pvper knows that. Its cool if you win gracefully, but no one cares how you lose if you lose.

I would say drop ranged support 4 only. You don't need it because actionshot1 and 2 can both cause suppression. Keep ranged support 3 because warning shot is very useful in PvP and PvE.

That will get you 5 points to spend on a single first-tier box in Carbineer - maybe a speed or accuracy box?

Being spammed on an un-healable pool (mind) is also much more deadly than being spammed on a healable pool. But there is nothing wrong with using the same shot over and over -- it be a more balanced gameif nobody could wipe out the mind pool as fast as a BH can, but if you've got it, flaunt it.

thanks for the advice on the ranged...on my other thread a lot of people said to drop ranged all together and i may do that since i never use the warning shot as it is...but who knows...

and as far as the spamming comment...heh, i was not trying to sound lame...heck, i only use one or two of my specials as it is, so i guess i spam,,,but i was also just saying that there is not much i can do if my mind pool gets hit over and over and over...don't really have a strategy to get out of that one...

i really don't have a problem with anybody or how they do PvP, it is just sometimes hard to figure out how to actually have a close fight when my mind is hit and poisoned to nothing in seconds...but then again, i am a real rookie to PvP

thanks again for the advice
