the biggest issue i have found with all the wonderful AoE shots that carbineers have, is that when i am trying to backup my TKA buddy (or whomever,just an example) by doing an AoE shot, the 2 he is not currently pounding the hell out of then decide to assault ME! he's right there...i'm 60m away on my belly, i fire and BAM! anyone he wasne't currently attacking are on me like a fly on.....garbage. it made me recently remove ALL AoE attacks from my UI slots. they are useless to me as they cost more, do less damge, and being attention to me. the big problem with this is...there isn't really a way to fix it. it makes sense that the enemy is going to attack whoever is doing them damage, but the carbines themselves are not powerful enough to take on those multiple targets. the ONLY usefull AoE shot i have found is /pointblankarea. at least then they are already attacking you and you can hit a few of them at a time.

I think some of it would be helped if they made AoE stop hitting lairs - Although I recommend having your TKA friend tap the lair first to get the 'lair killer' aggro. Harder to pull the other creatures off of him.
Nothing like knowing you could use an AE on the big group of creatures ahead, but it'd probably just mean double size because more would spawn.
