Thread: Bleed shots broken
Ok I wen't out there to play with the dragons today(after quick fix) so I tried to give that dragon a bleed or 2 - they stuck if you didn't know. Anyway....
Even though I repeatedly hit the dragon I was unable to give it a bleed. The message said your shot was unable to change the posture of the target (or something similar) although in battle window I saw that I actually did damage.
So in other words if you're unsuccesful changing the posture your bleed shots don't work. *Note* you may be unsuccessful not only because of creatures high resistance to posture change but because of the times too.
I saw a pistoleer shooting with FWG5 that gave 2 bleeds to the said dragon. FYI FWG5's AP =0 and I was shooting with a AP2 carabine and couldn't bleed the mob.
Come on - not - was that a silent nerf or was it always broken
all I can add is that before patch I was able to put bleeds on mobs eventhough the posture change failed. Granted last time I did that it wasn't on krayts but on piket longhorns and seething bols. So I can't really say if it worked on krayts before patch.
Will try on pikets and those bols, here after patch though.
I will concur that I am having to hit mobs multiple times with actionshot1 in order to bleed them.
Actionshot2 is also hitting but no bleeding targets in the cone.
if there is another mob close to your target (ie within actionshot2's aoe range) it will put bleed on that mob but not on the actual mob you are aiming at. very stupid. in other words its not aoe at all but instead the effect is analogous to a drunk redneck taking a potshot at a barn and hitting a nearby tree instead with his daddy's shotgun. well thats what happens when you try to take a shot from the bedroom window of your half-sister's trailer at 3 oclock in the morning when your full of yukon jack and thats also what happens when you use actionshot2 on a crowd of mobs.
if that isnt the case it is possible the mob simply resisted it. some higher CL mobs seem more resistant than most.
from my testing bleeds won't stack. they do, however, use the last one you used.
so use bleed until you hit for a nice damage amount and then stop using it. they will bleed using that damage.
you hit for 600.
you hit for 800.
you hit for 1500. then they bleed for 1500 everytime.
this is for pve, not sure how pvp works.
