im kinda surprised what i came up with.... /beginStory .. okay so.. i took 6 tisses to my weapsmith to make a dxr6 (i already had a laser.. got bored.. wanted to use a closer ranged gun sometimes) .. but she crit failed on the schematic and i was left with 5 tissues.. so i figured i'd make a dh17 (1, no factory) and a 2nd laser carbine to see if i could top my last one (3+1 for schematic)... so anyway.. got them sliced and powered up with 33max/16min powerups.. the 2nd laser carbine came out worse even tho it had a better slice. heh..

the dh17 got a nice dmg bonus from the slice ... but ic ant remember exactly what it is.. /endstory

either way.. i THINK the dh17 is something like 145-385, 2.3 speed.. my laser is 46-399 2.2

uhm.. but my dh17 does a LOT more damage to nonarmored things than my laser.. ie: burstshot 1 is consistantly doing 800-2500 dmg... my laser was around... 500-1200

so .. in conclusion.. my dh17 is cool cause it has low ham costs. heh.. opinions? post your gun stats? ... heh.. and if my dh17 breaks i only need 1 tissue instead of 5 or 6.. thats soooo relieving.

I got a high quality krayt tissue that I had placed on a dh17 stubnosed. Stats are: 1.6 speed and 125-380 dam it isnt very accurate though.

You can't assess new weapons properly since the big patch. Wait for them to say "we fixed the armor and armor piercing" issues before you decide your DH17 is entirely superior.

My guess, and my experience bears it out, is that somebody reversed the positive/negative number that was dictating armor and armor piercing. Armor results in *more* damage now, not less with more armor increasing the damage further. Armor piercing results in *less* damage, not more. The most damage that can be done under these rules is to fire an armor piercing 0 weapon on a heavy armored target.

Until they fix it, our best bet is to wear no armor, use no armor piercing weapons and take no armored pets into battle with us. Chances are good that they won't even acknowledge the fix when it goes in though, kind of an embarassing mistake I would guess.

Give me friends and creatures with whom I can share my adventures, my losses and my gains.

ah..good point.. the laser carb numbers were from long before.. shotting stuff with no armor rating... the dh17 info was from shooting more mobs without armor... and after the patch.. if the mob has no armor and th gun has no AP, shouldnt those numbers be accurate?>

Sad, ain't it?

Considering Krayt Carbines on Scyllaare worse (by 50+ damage!) than Krayt Pistols (whichare around 100K cheaper to make)I'm just making money selling the lesser tissues and holding onto the nicer ones for when they "fix" Carbines.

I had a fwg did like 75 to 434 with power/sliced... didn't get a good slice though at 1.6 or 1.7 speed.

I also had a scatterpistol 145 to 364 with power up/decent slice at 1.8 with 30% wound chance

I have a scatterpistol 150 to 405 with powerup/decent slice at 1.7 speed with 30% wound chance.

All Krayt made tissues (not the best tissues) but none of them got over 30% slice.
