Thread: Burst Shot 1 question.

I am fairly new to the Carbineer class, I just got burstshot1. When I shoot a mob it always seems to do half the damage shown in my combat screen. I know its not from resists, it's even doing this on newbie mobs. It does this with both my DH-17 and Laser Carbine. Is this intended?

Some low level mobs have AR1, which will cause you to do half damage. Such creatures are Slum Rats and Jawas. It should be working properly on creatures such as nunas and etc.

Ok this was happening on things such as flewts, nightspiders, fanned rawls, and chubas. I know these do not have ar light. I know fully how armor mobs work and such, I have been hunting lots of mobs, working up to master rifleman. So any other ideas?

Sorry cant edit post, say my DH-17. In combat window its saying anywhere from 500-1500 dmg. Over the chubas head pops up 200-600 dmg. It is the same with my laser rifle which has AR medium, combat says up to 2000, over head like 1000. Should I /bug this? Has anyone else had this problem?

try shooting some bigger game and you may notice full numbers over the mobs head. from what i have seen you basicly cant hit for more than a creatures health.


i noticed this just after i got crippleing shot, i was running around blasting gubbers and butterflys and the damage was way low. but i also noticed that the floaty numbers where rarely a solid red, green or blue. basicly its showing the dammage you did within the ham limmist of what you shot.

burst shot 1 is the only ability that is even halfway decent

Hey Makarish I think you are right. The numbers are like a different shade, and I was getting much better results on larger game. Thanks again. PS This also happened with leg shot2, light shade of green, less damage. Makes sense.
