Whats the Best (or more popular) carabine ??

I also mean the one you might use up to Master...

There's no real "best", it all depends on the resistances of the mob/NPC/player you're fighting, the Laser Carbine is the general purpose weapon, but there are uses for the other carbines too.

Could you then tell me what's the best 'package' ?

I understand that laser is for general purposes, and DXR6 for Acid ... ?

I also would like to know if Riffles get a better DPS than carbines ...

I carry the following types of Carbines on my character:

• EE3 = Heat


• DXR6 = Acid


• Laser = Energy


• Elite = for fun since its broke

I found that you should examine your prey before opening up on them to see what type of 'ammo' they are weak against. You can take down a Bolle Bol with the EE3 and a Fambaa with a DXR6.

Carbines fire faster then a rifle but rifles do more dmg but are way slower.

I like Elite, More Aim bonus with a scope.

DXR6 if sliced for dmg and with power ups, good for PvP

Laser for hunting with AoE shots.

dh17 snub, you'll shoot fast like a pistols with less HAM costs (generally use for Lairs).

ee3 for heat vulnurability (generally don't use anymore).

I carry 2 to 3 of these, since I'm lazy to goto a weaponsmith to just get 1... I always pick up 4 to 6 new carbines everytime I go.

Laser > all. Then it really comes down to if you like speed or damage slices more. I used to itch for the damage slices. But, my DPS has gone up with a laser and a speed slice.

Anyone telling you otherwise just doesn't know any better.

That being said, its likely you are on a server with horrible resources / poor resource shifting. Soooo....a dh17 may actually be better then a laser in that case. I do like the "Purty Green Bolts of a DXR6" (tm), its look, and sound much better then a laser. But 9 times out of 10, my laser could outperform it.

Seriously though. They just don't know any better.

That actually is the simple truth. The laser carbine pierces armor better than any other carbine, increasing damage on different levels against just about everything, including in PvP. The highest armor a player can wear is Light class armor, while the laser piercing level is higher than that.
