As soon as I saw patch 7 come out I was excited. Today I got around to dueling my friend and seeing how the dizzy works. I start the duel, use fullauto area 2 and the dizzy mark comes up, yes! I KD him using chargeshot. Then, to my dismay, he gets right back up! I tried to dizzy with all the "dizzy" moves. None of them worked!! Hmmmmmmm?? wats the deal!?
Dizzy/KD has never been 100% reliable at holding somebody down. I have gotten up from a TKM before, but not nearly often enough ![]()
Consider yourself lucky to get the Dizzy to stick, the chance is pretty low. Although I went out with a lower level Carbineer and let him play with the new attacks and he stuck states on Rav Tortons pretty easy. I am sure during my normal Rancor huntingthat it won't be that easy, but there are a lot of variables at work here for all the states.
During my first duel Tuesday night, I found there to be at least 5 sec of lag on the dizzy symbol. One time I KD'd him with Dizzy and he stood up right after the 5 sec KD timer and I was like, **edit**. He said the Dizzy left before he got up but my screen still showed the Dizzy. During the same duel I held him down with Dizzy and after we BOTH saw the dizzy symbol go away, he still couldn't get up for nearly 10 seconds.....all a bit weird.
I also found the best way to make them flop like a fish is with Posture Change, but that is maybe due to the higher firing rate compared to ChargeShot or simply the fact I don't want to spam KD.
Even with the inconsistencies, THE DIZZY/KD DOES WORK AND HAS BEEN VERIFIED NUMEROUS TIMES SO STOP SAYING IT IS BROKE.

Its not working for me.
I can get a dizzy to stick on a target with FS2 very easily, but posture change attacks don't cause them to fall and MOBs/NPCs/Players have gotten right up from a chargeshot knockdown while dizzied every time I've used it...meanwhile I got Dizzied by a Hanadak on Endor last night and it put me on the ground for the duration of the effect. meh.
You got pretty bad luck man, just ask Chatterer how it feels to flop on the ground.
As Firehawk said, dizzy does not work 100%. Also, dizzy + posture change does not make something fall down. The target has to change posture. If you dizzy a target and then force them kneeling and they stay kneeling, they have no chance of falling down. NPCs like to knee and go prone so this can give the false impression it isn't working.
In addition, I am hearing many reports that it is working just fine. Please try things more than once before you come to boards complaining they don't work.
