Thread: Elite or DXR6?

I've managed to get a hold of 7 identical krayt tissues, so I can make either an Elite carbine with these or a DXR6. Now the question is: which one? And why? What are the pros and cons with either? I can say that it will primarily be used for PvP.

Personally i would choice Elite since my WS friend tells me the resources for DXR6's on our server have been poor at best. From the guns i have seen on other servers i would still choose an Elite. But before you do ask your WS's opinion he will be able to tell you which of his guns turn out better. As far as the two guns compared. Speed and Damage will be based on your server/WS so we can't really argue that. So the only real issue is Acid vs. Energy Damage.
But remember this as well. Elites and DXR6sare always the best choice for PvP. Laser still have higher damage *and* Medium AP. The only thing is they take a hard hit against Ranged Damage Mitigation. Only a handful of classes get that skill so it maybe premisable to have both weaponson you at the same time.

From what I've seen on Chimaera the Elite Carbine is generally crafter better than the DXR6. Slighly higher Maximum Damage, definitely higher Minimum Damage and usually 0.3 or so speed less.
For PvP the acid and energy resist % is usually the same - so that means Stock + Scope and Krayt Elite all the way. Ensure you find a 12pt weaponsmith to get the best crafting possible.

Yes, I've been thinking along the same lines actually, and I have imperial stocks to use also of course. Plus the Elite is much better looking than the DXR6 
I have also tried to contact some good smiths, but they don't respond much, probaly too busy 
You don't happen to know anyone would you?
