Thread: dh17 bugged?

I looted a polished black dh17 carbineoff a rebel npc that gives a poison dot, although everytime i equip it, it says im not qualified to use it. I tried equipping a regular dh17 carbine i looted to and it told me the same thing. Even though i am a carbineer and it says im qualified in my character sheet. anyone knwo whats up?

No one has a cert for the polished black DH17.
And no one know why, so assume its a bug with the weapon, kinda like the Republic Blaster cert bug.
If you examine the polished black DH17, it will say 'Certified : No'
Regardless of your carbineer skills.
Best thing is to put it in the bank or your house , and keep it for later if it ever gets fixed.
I dont know why you had problems with a normal DH17 that you looted. Examine it and see if it says you have a cert for it.

no its not a snubnose i know the difference between a snubnose dh17, a regular dh17 with the silver barrel then the polished black dh17 with the black barrel

i've looted a bunch of the polished black ones off low level mobs, none with DoT's, and none with stats that make them worth keeping, but i get the same error as you.

Yep, I also have a polished black dh17 with a dot that I cant use. Even though I should be able to use it.

You sure it's not a DH17 pistol? They got the exact same graphics as the carbine.

No, there are 'polished black dh17' carbines in game. They look just like dh17s without any grey on them. Seems mostly thugs drop them. They have cdef quality stats, and the cert box says 'no'. They'd still be useless even if the cert gets fixed.
