Depends on what you're attacking really and what exactly you mean

Elites, Bosses, Ranged, Melee, multiples, singles..... There's a lot of ground to cover
And still not sure what you mean by 'approach', meaning how do you prepare and start the combat?

I'll take a shot in the dark and try to guess at what you need for information here.
I'm MCarbs, MBH, CM 4000 as a note.
Minus the investigation tree for BH, I aquired all of my XP from doing group hunts on Lok. When fighting, I usually open up with a charge shot (KD) and then follow up with either: A) A snare (Cripple shot), if they're melee or B) Move on to legshot and then crit shot (rapid fire with just straight carbs).
Keep in mind the whole idea behind Carbines is to keep the enemy at a distance, and just hit them hard. Works just fine in PvE, opening with charge and cripple, then dealing damage while they're knocked down and before they can get in range.
Also, armor and buffs are handy when you can spend the money on them. Carbines get Battle armor, and my preference there is a suit of padded. Buffs depend on what I'm doing. Doc buffs at all times when possible, spiced tea and blob candy as the staple. When going bounty hunting, I down a ton more foods that have a low duration but high bonus, rather than the moderate bonus and long duration of blob candy and spiced tea.
Hope this helps.
