Thread: NOT A FOTM POST SERIOUS CARBINEER LOOKING FOR ADVICE

I've been a master WS/Master Carbineer for a while now and I am looking for advice on the energy carbines

I carry a DH17 Shorty, an Elite, and a Laser Carb...(as well as a EE3 and DXR6 for obvious reasons)

What are your thoughts on these three types?

I find myself using the Shorty more than the other two. It's got a min of high 100's max of high 300's and a speed of 2.3 base (I think this one had a speed slice, I use Max/Min/Max Rng powerups on it)

My concern is the no armor piercing. Does the armor piercing work? If I read the design right, a medium armor piercing las should get a bonus on unarmored foes...but I don't see it.

I find the only time I use the Las is for extreme range attacks on opponents that don't know I am going to attack. I take one or two cripplings on them and then switch to the shorty (unless they have armor ratings) as they close the gap.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Agock

PIckup an Enhanced E11 and your arsenal will be complete.

And yes the Armor Piercing works, but not on a VULNERABLE damge type.

I wouldn't say NEVER, but there is nothing "in the pipe" to suggest FotM by any means.......might be nice to be FotM just once

I agree with Iebas. The Enhanced E11 is a fine weapon and I don't leave home without mine

/equips enhanced e-11 carbine. fas2, fas2, actionshot1, cs1, crippleshot. (target stunned, dizzied, blinded, health bleeding, actionbleeding, flopping) target stands up, actionshot2 (another actionbleed) target flops over again. rinse repeat. The enhanced e11 is a very nice weapon indeed. (especially on those not fully armored targets or unarmored)

They are easy to buy and most good weaponsmiths will have it already.....just throw in some Krayt Tissue and/or Imp Stocks
