Last time i c hecked carbineer all i saw for defense was counterattack is that it??

Counterattack +105
Defense vs. Intimidate +25
Defense vs. Knockdown +15
Defense vs. Intimidate +25
Defense vs. Knockdown +15
Ranged Defense +27
While that is some defense it is very weak

I won't lie, I am new to this profession (1002)----But are the Devs looking into this?
We have little to no defenses, and I heard counter-attack was broke, very high HAM costs.
Does anyone know if they have plans to change this?
Anything new for Carbineers in PAtch 10?

In my experiences so far , i found that Carbineers have the best ranged defenses.. However when a melee gets close enough to hit me , my H2H defenses are lacking... Wait lacking isn't correct.. Non-existent would be more correct.
Any tips on how to get better defensive measures to Melee with-out taking a melee proffesion as a hobby ?

Pistoleer has +45 Melee Defense and Rifleman has +40 Melee Defense.

Is the pistoleer defense constant and passive ? Or would i have to switch weapons to getm them ?

The Block/Counterattack/Dodge are weapon specific, but the others are just defenses.......

So if i climb the pistol tree, and use a carbine in combat say for PvP , i will get the +45 def to melee while using the Carbine ?

Ah, I love being a BH. I can count my melee defense with my hands, not my fingers (You only have 2 hands btw.)
