Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your input here, it's been really educational for me. I'm currently 1 3 2 2 , and am thoroughly enjoying it. I'm mastering the proffession to be as useful as I can in base defenses and raids. The bleeding cone shots are awesome. I've learned a lot from this forum, but one question for all you carbineer vets out there:
I'm on the Bria server, where are the best shops for Carbineer skill tapes, armor segments, and carbines themselves?

Well on bria there are lots of places to go. sea, go to the trade forums. or go to theed, coronet asking around. for weapons and powerups, tortilla, pxb and some other places are very nice. (pxb has a nice vendor near theed) tortilla shops are on tattooine and naboo.

Hmm i've bought a few weapons from brya got a > 400 max damage(w/ slice) 3.8speed(don't matter with BHcarb 4) though her krayt selection needs a little work it's not so hot.

that should say >400 Laser Carbine. I would do the nym's mission aswell, the Slugthrower is great for leveling espcialy with a speed slice. if you want i have a 3.2 speed one for 50k

Heya Traven! Good to hear from you man!
Yeah, going carbineer. I was given LFD's formula to make myself a PVP/FOTMgod, but I decided that 1) I'm not all about the self-glory in battle. I'm a leader, and needed to emphasize on that, I enjoy it. And 2) Base defense and raids is something I really enjoy and want to specialize in (Carbineer has proven, even in the beginning stages, to be VERY good for that), and 3) I always loved Carbines, and not many people are doingthem (always very attractive to me, hehe).
To make my character fit the leadership role, and make him 110% effective in base defense and raids, I'm going Squad Leader. This is the first time I've gone nearly all combat with my character, so I'm doing it in as fun and useful a way as I can. Only downside is: I have not been very useful of late, while I completely rebuild my character. I'm finding that Carbineer and Squad Leader are exactly what I wanted, functionally. When I dropped those 4 bases on Lok, one of the first things I noticed was the amount of firefight there was. It was nice to see, in a setting where melee has become so damn dominant in the game.
