I think that's what I've got... Getting rid of the mind costs is more helpful then regenerating it IMO because if you are taking damage then you're losing.

I am wondering how heavily each of you invested in your third stat for each group. For example willpower for mind. I understand these help recovery. I am experimenting with a light investment in the second(Cost)and heavier in third(Regen)by knocking a few of the primary like health for example. This is for a person that doesn't full buff all the time just to run a few missions. I

If you are not buffed then you need Medic and a strong Mind/Focus/Willpower.....and even if you do get buffed you will still want to max Mind/Focus/Willpower.

And Brandy/Ahrisa/Canape are you friend

If you have a decent amount of medic, minimise your Constitution and Quickness. You'd be better off healing your health and action back up than waiting for it to naturally regen. Put the points taken from there into Focus (and maybe some into Willpower). Mind is a precious resource. Being the only pool you cannot heal, it is VERY important to make sure you have all 3 mind stats set fairly high. Also, as TA said, Canape and Brandy are your friends (personally, I'm not too big on Arhisa). Never leave home without them.

I agree 100%. It took me awhile to convert over to Ahrisa but it is a HUGE difference when buffed.

Now when I fight unbuffed, which YES does happen as that is about the only fun thing left in the game, then Canape is key because I need to regen Mind as I am using Novice Medic.

Buffed: Brandy/Ahrisa
Unbuffed: Brandy/Canape

Oh yes we ALL LOVE BRANDY

ahrisa is extremly useful, especially when you get low on focus from wearing a full set of composite

I don't need more focus. I allmost allways have a musician buff, but even if I don't, 2 Brandies is enough to make my focus about 1600. That pretty much negates all my mind costs with any weapon. I would MUCH rather have more willpower, to regen the mind that I loose in battle due to head shots, and other damage taken. My guild doesn't have a CM (we won't allow it in PvP lol), so I need to regen my mind on my own.

i understand where your coming from but even if you have 3k willpower witha rifleman spamming masterheadshot its not gonna be enough to regenerate the high dps so why not eat a ahrisa to negate the drain from spamming specials and a vercupti for another boost if you start to get into trouble.

i dont know about your server but kauri has an ass load of rifleman and food seems useless sometimes anyway.

Yes it is. Considering I have an 86% base, 39% stun helmet, and 54% stun PSGs, those rifleman can't hardly touch my mind. Having good willpower isn't for regening during a fight, it's for regening faster after the fight so that I'm at the ready quicker for the next fight.

Because once I have 2 brandies in me, my mind costs are lower than 5 per shot. Having 1500+ willpower regens that 5 just as quickly as it drains. Thus, there is no point having any more focussinse I already do not have to worry about mind costs. Plus, from what I can recall, Ahrisa has a high filling. I can pop 1 snow cake, 1 sythsteak, and 1 shroom if I don't eat any Ahrisa. After a few minutes, I can then pop a canape if I need to. I also have various other foods I like to eat if the situation deems it necessary. Foods such as the DoT reduction stuff, fire resistance stuff, and Smuggler's delight are all very useful at times.

Believe me, we have more than our fair share of riflemen on Gorath. I think if you are relying on food to beat a rifleman, that is your first mistake. Yes, it helps, but if you really need it to that great of an extent, then you should rethink your strategy.
