Thread: This is bs...

Yet again, classes with the most members are getting the most attention on issues that are insignificant compared to the issues facing the classes of less popular classes. *cough* carbineers *cough*. The squeaky door gets the WD-40. So, in light of this, I recommend that once a day, everyone who comes in the Carbineer forums puts a one sentence(or less) post in this thread until the number of posts we have compares to that of the commando and creature handler classes. Obviously, the severity of the problems facing classes doesn't factor into the devs decision making process about which bugs get fixed first. Let's do something about it.

I am fairly sure they do not read these boards. We have been griping and demanding fixes as much as the others. They proably look at thier own statistics and determine which professions have the most people in them and fix them first.

This kinda stinks for us, cause our profession is srhinking, not growing. Many people have left for pistols, I am forced to do the same. It is a sad situation. The profession will be fixed, we just dont know when. I cannot afford to stick around and find out.

We should do both. Everyone call Customer Service and post in this thread as much as possible. They will have no choice but to acknowledge us.

The squeaky wheel/hinge get the grease.

People don't realize that the squeaky customer, however, gets the spit in the milkshake. I still find enjoyment in the game despite being a carbineer/squad leader. I mostly roleplay with a group of friends but I honestly don't feel crippled by the professions I've taken. There is a lot that can be done with both of my professions - I'll wait it out. If I eventually get tired of waiting, I'll change skills - but I really don't feel that I'm *that* less effective than any other gunner I play with.

I don't understand why they cannot at least fix one thing for us...just to make us a little happier. For instance, just reduce the HAM costs for now, or fix our specials. I don't even care what at this point...just give us a little something. Let's be real...how hard can it be to just adjust the HAM costs down a little. I am a programmer and I don't think that it should be all that hard. That would at least let us know that they know we are here.

Here's the way I see that scenario go down, rs1990 (using experience from several previous mmorpgs as well as my own systems analysis experience):

If, for example, HAM costs are lowered, I'd expect to see a pretty small portion of the SL population actually taking the change without then crying that even THAT isn't enough and how we're still neglected. Sure, it may be my pessimistic anti-"entitlement" nature thinking allowed, but I'd bet good money (with great odds) that once the wholistic changes are made and the devs say "oh, we've done a good thing here but now we need to bring the HAM rates back in line.... (or ANYthing back in line)" what do you think would be the response? That's right.. "Nerfed AGAIN! We're back to being the worst profession in the game.."

There's an old Tunisian proverb that says, "Throw a starving tiger a chicken and you won't be able to run fast enough to avoid becoming the main course. Keep that tiger hungry until you can throw him a caribou and your stroll away will be leisurely and serene."

Right on enperalsolger! I was also a Commando in the "old days". The only good thing back then was that cert for VibroKnuckler so unarmed was a breeze. Well as a current Commando I'm gonna support you Carbineers and call that number. And Im also a Novice Carbineer.

Just remember the speed which threads get locked on pretty much every other forum, than recall that the post titled **** YOU, AND **** YOU TOO SOE which was a delibrate attempt to flame/troll/rant and get the thread locked didn't even get a post in it by Jeassa or anyone.

They don't read these boards.

Post in the "Carbineers have been neglected too long" thread in SWG Discussion.

Yeah, i'm the guy who started the thread "**edit** this and **edit** you too SOE!"

Also I was banned for two days.

But do you want to know why?

Well maybe I should also tell you that day i also posted a new thread on the official swg forums [you know the generic ones that everybody looks at] entitled "FIX CARBINEERS NOW FU[C]KTARDS!!!

But that wasn't what got me banned...

What got me banned... was in a completely unrelated post on someone elses thread on teh scylla forums I believe it is, I referred to swg as "p[o]kemon wars".

Check it out.

**edit**

I just said p[o]kemon without the [ or ]

**edit** is a swear word on the forums that actually get's noticed by SOE, however referring to the Devs as fu(ktards apparently isn't.

Make no mistake... we are all alone, and no one is watching over us.
