Thread: Is it me or is Armor piercing now working right on weapons????
I am novice commando, BH and pistoleer... I have used DX2, Laser carbine, ee3 carbine, scatter, FWG5, launcher pistol, LLC and Flamethrower..
Half of these have AP : light and the other half do not.
Yet i seem to see the Same damage no matter what i fight on all the above weapons... AND the ones with AP do not out perform the ones without AP on anything.. FT=LLC in damage..... FWG5 > Scatter???
and the Laser > EE3.
I am confused.. is this a bug.. is this not ever been right? or am i just wrong somehow on how this works? I dont see a 25% bonus on anything with NONE AP while using a AP1 or higher weapon.. nor do i see a decrease in damage while using a NONE AP weapon on a Light or higher AP value mob.
Did you check the system combat message or the number floating above mobs head?
Armor piercing isnt applied in the chat message, but you should see the right damage over the head.
For example if your chat reports 100 damage and you fired with a FWG5 (assuming no resists on the target) you should see a 100 floating, if you fired with a laser carbine (again no resists) you should see 156 (medium armor piercing).
Still some of the weapons aren't working right at times, I've seen a dx2 or drx6 not do any additional damage to a target without acid resists at times, while working fine against other mobs. But laser and elite for example have always been fine for me. Maybe it's a specific weapon issue.
