I was also a bit frustrated when i advanced novice carbineer to see how low xp was racking up.

Fortunatly, i went to Dantooine one day to see how it was and there was a group looking for people. we went hunting seething bols and within a few hours a racked up over 200,000 XP of carbine.

Now that i'm at a higher level and ch i can solo hunt but never as fast and as efficient as when i group with people.

I don't want to be rude but messages like "Hey devs fix the profession it's crap" will get you nothing. Stats and objectives opinions has more chances of bringing what you want.

Heya guys. I am a Carbineer and having trouble gaining EXP with it due to the very cruddy guns and high HAM cost. I am worried that by the time they get the fix in for this, many people will get Jedi (because they have the sufficient skills to do this due to the unbelievable damage that other professions do), and SOE will then decide that there are too many Jedi's and will close the Jedi option...well I do not want this to happen. PLEASE get this fix in soon. I haven't been playing SWG all because of the profession....so until you fix this profession SWG, I will not play this game. I know you are working very hard on this and I know it should come out within the next patch or so, but please hurry! Focus on the broken professions, not the ones that are fixed (you keep upgrading the fixed ones and don't bother with broken ones I keep seeing)! I WOULD LIKE TO DO REBEL MISSIONS/JEDI MISSIONS/START MY QUEST TO JEDI SO PLEASE HURRY!

Thanks!!

Yes I do agree with you on that one. But most of the profession is messed up. It is not nearly as bad as commando used to be, but it can be fixed some areas. I am currently working on getting CH too, but it is taking me a while cause of the low damage. I have been trying to form hunting groups, but nobody is comming to them. I also do not see many groups either...

Carbine is the easiest XP to get in the game.

Get a laser carbine and start blasting creatures with any high dmg special you have. Semi auto is a great start for carbine noobs.

I sold back 1/2 my carbine skill tree at one time, now Ive been earning it back at the rate of 2 skill boxes a day...through casual play. Easy I tell you! No grind, no long hunting parties, just kill some beasties!

Carbine may be the easiet exp to get in the game, but playing a carbineer takes more skill than any other profession in the game (cept for maybe any elite brawler profession). I'm perfecting a way of soloing Pikets on Dantooine without using pets and meds and even outside help. It can be done, takes alot of SKILL, in which not many ppl have atm. when I perfect this I'll post it on this board and this board alone so we can keep it our lil secret!

Using KD and Posture change makes it very easy to soll pretty much everthing. With my pets i can take on whole lairs. I know that we are kinda bugged class but i do pretty well in PVP and PVE.

Thats funny, when I use ChargeShot1, the MOB is back up before it hits the ground, the longest I have seen one down for has been maybe 1 second. ActionShot 1/2 is to unpredictable half the time they dont change posture. Have you ever combined AS1 and 2? AS1 can put the MOB on its knees, AS2 will pick it right back up again, not send it to prone.

Every mob is differnte with this. A graul for instance needs about 4 secs to get up again. Same iwth a ATST. We attacked one with a group the other day. I could pretty much keep it on the floor. But i had to have a doc standing right beside me to heal me al the time.
