I just got back after a month. I was working toward rifleman before I left. And even though I'm guessing that you all are bias, would you recommend me switching to carbine and for what reasons?

i have a novice rifleman (2/0/1/1) on another server.

I get owned a lot since its a weak class until you hit master.. but then you dont need xp and still get owned by BHs/CHs/Commandos

made a carabine char on another server

having a blast, with only lvl 3 marksman carabine. I dont get -50 accuracy at melee range and can win, unlike with rifle where even master riflemen are missing most of their shots at close range, and with rifle you take 2.5x melee damage

also really fun grouping, because with good, strong random pool attacks like full auto I can hit health a lot and help the rest of my group (who are TKA, pistoleers, CHs, etc... which hit health) while getting good XP because of high damage and high fire rate. With rifle the highest damaging attacks are headshots until you get flurry2, which hit mind which no one else is hitting so im not helping, and i fire so slow

but both classes are potentially as good

I hope you get lots of responses. I am trying ot pick a ranged weapon, myself. I did pick up a nice CDEF rifle, that is actually better than the scout pistol I had be using. Faster, and hits harder. Just wondering how carbines compare to the others.
