Thread: Stealth Fixes to our Specials

Hi All,

I didn't see a thread on this yet, so here goes.

Wildshot 1 is stunning for 30 sec, maybe more and Wildshot 2 is AE now. Both seem to be working as intended finally. Within 3 shots,I have been able to stun all but one critter--it took 5, 1 of which was a miss. The stun effect from Wildshothas made my Crippling shot, as well as my pets, more effective--very happy with these 2 specials now.

Crippling seems unchanged, but as stated above is better in conjunction with Wildshots.

Legshot 3 still seems to have low damage equitable to Legshot 2. Only used it on 1 target, so not sure if it is nowAE as some have mentioned it should be.

Chargeshot 1 is working as good or better. The knockdown is lasting from a split second to several seconds. Chargeshot 2 I havn't been brave enough to test--been doing high level missions, and getting 4 level 55ish things mad at you can be a bad idea.

I'll be playing with Scattershots tonight to see--not expecting any change out of them, but who knows.

So, anyone else feeling thatour profession is better off than we have been before? Lookin for your thoughts my brothers and sisters in arms.

Now revamp the Elite Carb and move it to Master level or add a Master level skill, and I'll be the happiest carbineer in...well...in the galaxy.

Wild Shot 1 & 2 always worked.. they just suck, because stun does little to nothing.

Charge shot 1 was changed in the patch that changed all knockdown moves. No stealth fixes.

I've noticed that some of our skill costs have been lower'd by at least 20points. And this is coming from a Zabrak carbineer, my stats are as follow straight down :1000/400/400/1000/450/400/600/400/750

Noticed that chargeshot1 takes 98 H/A instead of 140.Cripplingshot 102 from 143.Burstshot1 98 from 128.

not sure about the other skill because these are my main arsenal and my carbineer tree atm is 3/4/2/3. one other thing I noticed I can spam Legshot2 and take any BH in a straight duel who spams eyeshot with it! Muhahahahaha! ok thats all I have to add to this.

Stopping in to say a few things.

First off, I've read that Stun lowers a creature's ranged defense, which is a factor to determine if you hit or miss. The lower their ranged defense, the higher chance to hit. Charge Shot 1 is nice, however, it isn't affected by the timer at the moment. I don't know how long that'll last... hopefully forever.

About the Elite Carbine, I don't think it'll be moved to master. That'd be nice and all, but the devs said publically that they planned on releasing weapons. I assume what is going to happen is, is that you can obtain new weapons depending on the certs you have accross the profession and the best weapon will be at Master. I'm positive that the Elite Carbine is not going to be the end all carbine, however, it doesn't deserve to suck as much as it does right now as it is our "elite" weapon.

Hrmm.. interesting SOJ. How would you even test this anyways? Unless your ranged defense mod actually changes? I've never been watching my skills screen in the middle of combat.

Charge Shot 1 has another bug.. in that it knocks down the target even if the target " resisted being knockdown". They get right back up, but it still allows you to get in 1 shot and prevent a round of combat or two from them.

Its more than fair though. We should get some positive bugs to counter out all our negative ones.

Well, I read this from Aldeon, actually. I trust what he says. In fact, it seems that I do hit higher level mobs more often when they are stuned (and it seems like they resist things less, but maybe that's just my imagination). I can't confirm if it's true or not but it does seem to appear to have some difference.

The in game description of stun is that it causes the target to miss a round of combat and lowers secondary stats. Has anyone tested this recently?
