I'm a 2/3/0/3 Carbine and a 0/3/0/0 BH. My speed and accuracy are quite high because of this combo.

My question is how fast? What is the MAX speed and accuracy I can get? I have a 2.5 DH-17 and it feels like I hit every second. Is that possible?

When do I hit my max?

Your current speed is +85, where mine is with Master Carbineer and +25 Attachments.

Anything under 2.7speed weapon will cap on every single Carbineer Special.

in response to your question there is a cap. The fastes you will ever be able to fire is 1 second. There is a speed formula that calculates the speed from what i have read the formula is actualSpeed = [ 1 - (speedSkill/100) ] * weaponSpeed * reloadModifier. So based on that the most speed you will ever need is 99 and at the point you would be able to fire a weapon with 100.0 speed every second. So that gets pretty redudant also remember the reload modifiers multiply that number by about 2 - 2.5 depending on the special. So given that a slow speed on a carbine is 4.0 and the highest reload mod with have is 2.5

4.0 * 2.5 = 10

actualSpeed = [ 1 - (speedSkill/100) ] * 10

we want actualSpeed = 1 (the speed cap)

1 = [1 - (speedSkill/100) ] * 10

0.10= 1 - speedSkill/100

1 - 0.10 = speedSkill/100

.90 = speedSkill/100

speedSkill = 90.

With this speed using a slow carbine with our highest reload modifier you will being fire as fast as possible. Right now you are +85 i believe so one more box in Carbine Assualt Tactics and you have the maximum you will ever need to go. But since your carbine is 2.5 speed you are well under the 1 second cap even when firing specials.

Thanks for the info guys, great info.

It would then make sense for me, at this point, not to worry about speed as mush as I have in the past. I should now sacrifice some speed for more damage.

Say, a laser carb with 400 Max dmg but speed of 3.5 would be better for me than a laser wtih 275 max dmg with a speed of 2.5. This is because my Speed mods have maxed my speed to 1 second.

Correct?

RULE: Lower speed on weapon/increase Character Speed Modifier until you hit the 1.0 Speed Cap for the slowest special, after that increase min/max damage instead of speed. This results in max DPS.

im thinking of going the same way except i dont really care for the speed but more the accuracy, i see you can get it up to 190 or so wiht 0300 in bh.it would seem that it should help alot trying to hit def stackers. dont say they are being nerfed in pub7, thats only half true, only dodge, and block stackers are, rangedef stackers still wont be touched.

I have Master CArineer and BH carbs 1-3. This grants me +105 to speed and according to the new combat sim out there I hit the speed cap with every special on a 3.9 speed carbine.
