Thread: Thoughts on Carbine Aiming Skill Mod...

I had never paid much attention to the +25 Carbine Aiming we get in the Master Carbineer box, but after being asked to discuss it in an auction thread it got me wondering. When buying SEA's the general rule of thumb is that if the mod isn't not achievable through skills then it won't work....which I still believe is true. I previously discounted Carbine Aiming for this reason (obviously I had my head up my arse) and thinking that very few people use Aiming.

But this is Carbine Aiming that may be separate from the /aim command so there may be some benefit to getting SEA's to increase this mod 100%.

What are your thoughts and experiences?

Anybody have any testing for this or ways to test it even?

I was going by the assuption that i had found on a thread somewhere on this forum: that it came into play only when you do /aim beforehand. This method adds the /aim to your queue in effect robbing you of an attack. A method which i had prepared my self you use in combat.

I've purchased +13 worth of Carbine Aiming sea's and have a bid placed on another +8 (250k).

Hopefully, someone has some hard evidence of its use.

While it might add to the /aim command (not sure how it would "help" it though) that assumes some "good" programming for Carbine Aiming to do its thing with regular Aiming.....not sure I put that much faith in SOE right now....

I suppose it couldn't hurt if the slots are open and the cost is minimal....
