Hello riflemen/riflewomen,
I am currently a Master Weaponsmith and I would like to ask for your input on your preference in scopes and the changing trends in using scopes on your rifles. Traditionally I put scopes on weapons (including laser rifles and DXR6b)that have: +5 Wound +19 Accuracy (Ideal Range Mod)+0 HAM. The scopes are primarily experimented for HAMwith my 2 extra points going into the Accuracy experimentation.
Obviously mind costs on rifleshas often beena concern for specials. However, given food buffs and/or entertainer buffs, do you think people in your profession would be interested in scopes that are primarily Accuracy experimented? Below are expamples of some scopes that I have crafted. (All are +5 Wound)
(Just as an added consideration, I also normally add stocks to my riflesthat can take 'em - 40min/40max dam, .3 AS, +10 Wound, +10 Ideal Range Mod, +28 HAM)
Some scope examples:
Ideal Range ModHAM Added
+19 +0
+25 +4
+33 +8
+43 +17
I would like to know whether youas rifle bearers would prefer to have:
A)Min HAM scope - 0 HAM added
B) Middle scope - half experimented for Accuracy, half for HAM
C) Max Accuracy scope -will add+43 Accuracy at the cost of 17 more HAM
D) Have rifleseach withdifferent types of scopes
Thanks so muchfor your input! Although I am from one server, Chilastra, your responses hopefully will help the weaponsmiths on your server too.

Hello carbineers,
I am currently a Master Weaponsmith and I would like to ask for your input on your preference in scopes and the changing trends in using scopes on your carbine. (Yes, I also posted this on the rifle boards, but I need your input too as carbineers) Traditionally I put scopes on weapons (including lasercarbines and DXR6s)that have: +5 Wound +19 Accuracy (Ideal Range Mod)+0 HAM. The scopes are primarily experimented for HAMwith my 2 extra points going into the Accuracy experimentation.
Obviously action costs on carbines has often beena concern for specials. However, given doctor and food buffs, do you think people in your profession would be interested in scopes that are primarily Accuracy experimented? Below are expamples of some scopes that I have crafted. (All are +5 Wound)
(Just as an added consideration, I also often add stocks to my carbines that can take 'em - 40min/40max dam, .3 AS, +10 Wound, +10 Ideal Range Mod, +28 HAM)

I'm a different breed of rifleman. One that hates mind buffing foods.
I think weapons that are scopped with zero ham added would be awesome. I would definately purchase them. But there are times in certain pvp situations that you have to say screw ham cost and go for the added accuracy. There are alot of other rifleman out there who don't care about mind cost at all. I would suggest making the zero ham, and the max accuarcy scopes and see how they do. I'm not sure how well the in the middle ones would do.

The general trend is to max Accuracy to help apply States and fight defense stackers. For the most part people don't care about HAM costs either.

Agreed.
With the delay to the combat balance I can see the trend persisting.
Buffs mitigate HAM costs to the point of non-existence pretty much and as they won't be changed for the visible future now you'll find a better market for high accuracy weapons.
