Thread: Crippling Shot???

One basic question. I am a Master Bounty Hunter (and proud of it) with some newly aquired skill points. My question; Is crippling shot worth the points?? I enjoy hunting very "large" NPCs and the occasional Jedi. Is this shot worth the points and the grind??

Refer to the 100's of posts already here discussing the new access to the BH/Carbineer hybrid.

Personally I would think it would be, but I will never be a BH.....but there are plenty of people who have already posted on this topic.....look around.....they are everywhere....

Yes definitely worth it. My friend and I, just last night, sparred with my newly aquired Carbineer shots, and crippling shot on average hit for 100+ more damage, just without the states. Scattershot 2 and wildshot both did what they advertised. So yes, go with it and spam it. I like to chargeShot X1, ScatterShot2 X1, Wildshot1 and then spam crippling shot until my target is destroyed.

Unless you are Speed Capped, FAS2 will do more DPS even though the individual hits are a lower damage......SPEED KILLS......

VERY worth it. I've come up the other way, mastering Carbineer then going BH. CripplingShot at the speeds I am capable of on the carbines I can cap is a very painful thing.

Drop ConfusionShot, FireKD (or whatever you prefer), then wrap up with CripplingShot.

Get the Dizzy/KD down that BH's can do so well, then unload the damage out of the Carbineer line. It may be a b*tch to make it stick in PvP, but once you do, nothing can stop you from killing that target.

In single combat, only three things have ever stopped me. 80% composite armor, CoB macroing and Lunge2.

Poison maybe?

Lightsaber maybe?

And good luck keeping a Fencer fish flopping....never happened to me yet. I get stuck with Dizzy and every 1 in 50 KD me, but then I stand right back up

Poison: Not lately, I've nailed most of the sludgeslingers that have hit me recently, its their buddies that end up finishing me. The last one who tried me died twice (I was raiding hiscity, so he cloned locally)before I went down facing off against his Rifleman buddy.

Lightsabers: Haven't had the displeasure yet. I usually don't waste my buffs and do a quick LD to kill the overt when Isee themto get clear. Its cheap, but buffs ain't. My opinion is "Why bother trying to fight a forgone conclusion?"

As far as the Fencer, been there, done that. He dropped for a few seconds, which gave me time to hit the BurstRun and kite him with CripplingShots. Sticking at 35-40 meters smacking down with a 327 max damage Elite carbine on a schmuck with no ranged mitigation is an awesome feeling. The only thing that could have killed me was when he peaced and started up a Center of Balance macro (the new defense stacking). Dropped my accuracy from about 33% to about 5% in a heartbeat just as the BurstRun dried up.

Why on earth would anyone ever use the overcharge shots?? Like destroying your weapon even faster?

he didnt say "overchargeshot" he said "chargeshot" as in the carbineer KD shot that comes at xxx2.

Also, the above poster that listed the things that stop him...One of them was "80 percent composite"...On bloodfin at least, you wont find a single PvPer thats NOT wearing 80% or BETTER composite.
