Before the Chef Revamp I came to these boards to share my template with other carbineers and was told a mulitude of templates that would pwn my face. This is my new template as of 2 months ago that I am VERY successful at.
1 on 1 if the other person isnt a fencer this template will succeed over almost any profession or template once the template is properly used by a good pvp'r.
I have an account on Bloodfin where I am in the Top Rebel pvp guild and have about 70 million credits between my rifles and carbines...
however i also play on naritus and have about 70k worth of weapons and I equally as effective. Bloodfin's pvp is way more advanced as far as number of great pvp'rs.
Of course if you try this template and dont use food, psg's, and stun armor you'll still die but thats not the templates fault.
If anyone would like to try it out and give me some feedback i'd love to help my fellow carbineers in anyway possible. This template works great for pve/large scale pvp/ and excellent in duels.

Altogether a great ranged combo, but I'm a bit worried about what it means with the new Jedi in PvP.
On Starsider, you can't find PvP with atleast two Jedi.. which means that effectively, you'd be stuck throwing heals and hoping your shots land.. which as we know, isn't always effective.
Again, this template is rather good (rifles, after all) but it's lack of Melee involvement pretty much assures that against other melee'rs or Jedi, you're dead.
Unless you found a way to circumvent that, in which case, please share!

Vs all melee classs but fencer this template works great. I can only hit the fencers on bloodfin with my dxr6 and its +120 accuracy modifier and i got accuracy tapes all over the place.
Vs jedi One on One this template sucks vs jedi. There are alot of jedi on bloodfin but all the ones that pvp are atleast master lightsaber and have the ls block at its peak. I just put a powerup on my t21 (puts it at 850 max dmg) and pray. I've been pretty successful but at the moment any ranged profession just plain sucks vs jedi. When I hit jedi its for about 600 dmg but they block a ton.
Jedi>ranged
nothing I can do about it sadly

Alright, gotcha.
I'm Master Carbineer and Master Fencer, and can pretty much go into 'Fencer' mode and go 1 on 1 with a 'Jedi Master' indefinitely.. atleast until his force pool wears off, at which point, if he doesn't run, he's mine.
It does suffer from damage output in regular PvP though, which is most unfortunate. Hopefully the Combat Balance will address that.

I like this template, but haven't tried it myself. Does anyone else have thoughts on it?

That is an impressive template.
No all-ranged template does well against Jedi but that doesn't seem to be your goal. If you have a melee character with you, you can heal them while they kill the Jedi.

I dueled you twice Penne, and both ended up in a draw after 15mins hehe. Just going to say a Master Carbineer with the right set up and equipment can stand up to ANY other range profession. Penne's templete kicks major ass tho. If I didnt enjoy being a Master of Carbines, I'd do this templete in a heartbeat. Ive fought along side Penne many of times, he can tear up the field no doubt.

Hehe Penne's template rocks, he took my pikewoman/docdown in seconds in a duel.
On a side note: The best template/equipment isn't everything. Knowing how to play your template well is
