I'm doing a hybrid jedi-hunting template with TKM/BH 3400/ and a tree of Carbineer. Question is- should I go up the Marksmanship tree for the increased accuracy and Crippling Shot, or should I go up Counterinsurgency for the counter-attack, state defenses, and Suppression Fire 2? I'm torn between them!

Go up the Counterinsurgency tree for Burstshot2.

Special Abilities. Accuracy while Moving and FullAuto attacks (along with ChargeShots, which are more chances to drop them).

Accuracy vs. Jedi is a joke with Saber Block and the defenses in Counterinsurgency just don't work anyway.

cripple shot is nothing without enough speed. burst shot is better if you only want to take one line

But the person has BH Speed.....should be able to find Carbines around 2.7-3.0 speed that will be close enough to firing at the Speed Cap. And if you run the numbers, once you Speed Cap a lower damage shot, then its advantage is wasted going faster so CripplingShot comes in handy.

If you want to hunt Jedi, Carbineer has no defenses to help you or really any Specials beyond what you have in BH.....hard to recommend anything actually....probably why each poster has a different answer. But I will say if you are not looking for Cone Effect attacks, then CripplingShot is a great addition to BH and getting more Accuracy won't hurt anything.
