Thread: Carbines with skill mods=worthless?

I am clearing out my storage shed again and have a bunch of carbines with +10 skill mods and above for everything from carbine speed to terrain negotiation and volley fire. I here they are useless. Is this true? If so I will just destroy them. Any knowledge on this subject would be appreciated.

depends on the stats, +10 to carbine speed be pretty nice, unless the stats suck

Well...lets see what I have in the cupboard. Got a laser carbine with Carbine accuracy while moving+2, Counterattack +5 and Taking cover +1. Has an AS of 4.9 (bleah!).Its got damage 10-185 (weak). Special costs are H22, A42, M17.
Next one is a DH17 Short Carbine. Its got Carbine accuracy +3, Carbine speed +4 and Steady Aim bonus +2. AS is 3.4.
Damage is 42-120. Special costs are H18, A20, M10 (nice). Also has a modest Poison Health DOT, Str 104, Dur 109s, Pot 38% and Uses 708. Not a completely disgraceful weapon.
The other ones arent too special. Got a standard damage laser carbine with +11 ranged defense and another one with Ranged defense +2 and Volley fire bonus +5. Damage 7-203.
So there you have it. This is not the trade forum so not asking for prices. Just want to know if guns like this are worth keeping or should I get rid of them to make way for potentially better loot.

well you would be suprised, I bought a laser carb off a vendor for 50k, it has a weak 90 str health fire and is right at 500 dmg with a powerup, and ham is like 14/20/14 so it stacks up a pretty decent fire and can be used with a pixie easily, its awesome I love it
, well you never know what a piece of junk looted weapon can do

i would say junk that laser, totaly useless.
the DH17 is ok, kind of, the ham costs are good but even with that +4 to speed its base speed is just too low, i think you would need to be MC and have +19 speed in tapes to speed cap fullauto with that.

which server are you ?
As a Master Carb and Master SL i might be interested in freeing your inventory of that *grin*. Although you are an imperail soldier I just feel obliged as a fellow MCarb to help you out looking beyond our faction differences *grin*.

I don't see anything of value there at all. Mods on weapons are only effective if it is worth using the gun in the first place....

I'm on Chilastra. However looks like the guns will be destroyed as soon as I log on today because my inventory, backpack and safety deposit box are all full....

Or you could put them on the bazaar. Sell them for whatever price you want. Could help a newbie player or anyone else.
