I am just returning to the game after many months away. I picked up my old templete of MBH/MCarbine and started working towards it. I was just 1000BH and master Marksman a few days ago when I started playing again.
To be honest the thought of another grind was a major downer for me. I grinded 30 professions before I unlocked and grinding has become quite stale to me.
This time around I chose to grind with the GCW. As MMarksman I could just barely kill Rebel NPCs but they where good XP and I thought they where fun to kill. Blowing through 30 or more speed powerups I am now 1300BH 0002 Carbine.
I choose the BH line first as it offers both Speed and Accuracy. At 0300 Im am deadly fast and accurate. I am now just starting to go for Carbine skills and I still get 3.7-4.3k per Rebel NPC kill.
I doubt I will be able to grind up to master Carbine on the GCW but for now (and at least a few more boxes) I am having quite a lot of fun blasting Rebels!
Just thought I would share my technique. Im sure its nothing new but with new (old) people rejoining everyday I figured it wouldnt hurt to post.

It's actually how I re-grinded my second character (FS unlock) back up to Master Carbineer: off Rebel NPCs.
After gaining a bit of speed in the x000 line of Carbineer, along with Speed/Accuracy SEAs and a slew of fast Carbines (PvP carbines gone wrong.. with speed slices, heh).. I pretty much did the whole of Carbineer in Tyrena by simply circling around the city limits and killing off everything. It was great, because there's a Carbineer Trainer just outside the Tyrena Cantina as well, which meant that I didn't need to venture out to get training.
Mastered Carbineer from Novice Marksman in a total of 8.5 hours.. all in one day (3 buff sets).
