What are speed caps on Heavy weapons and Grenades?

Simple....there are none.


With our flamers/HARs, you can't speed cap as 1) They have the 15 second delay specials(which is reduced to around 7 seconds at Master....really fast flamethrowers would clock in between 4-7 seconds) and 2) None of our Hvy weapon tapes "work" -- ie the mods simply don't exist, and hence they don't stack onto our "FT Accuracy/speed" mods


With grenades, theres a 9 second delay (for some if not all grenades, I don't use them enough to really notice) hardcap...

Post-CU, you won't be seeing people speed-capped most likely...but then again, we're getting our tapes back...and the whole system is changing anyways heh.

Theoreticaly you could speedcap with a .4 speed or faster flamethrower, no such weapon exist though. (Theoreticaly possible with legendary -3 speed tissues a exceptional blaster rifle barrel, and an imperial form fitted stock)

that brings up a interesting question when looking for tissues, does one look for the best SPEED mod or the best DAMAGE mod when faced with that choice?

Speed, you'll do more damage per second than witha good damage tissue...

So your sayn WE WONT see people speed caped, Even if are tapes work again ? I hope i have not been holding on to 2x25+HWS for Nothing.

In terms of the new formulas...which I may add, we don't know how they work yet...


Also, tapes won't be as effectual as they are now...most likely reducing their price tags. They'll help, but not allow a player to speedcap (such as a rifleman) most likely. For certain professions we may see speed caps...but for the majority I highly doubt it, and its all up in the air atm anyways.


Your tapes you have now...should work...and will give bonus when you use them.

Its bugged, currently FS melee mods affect all ranged weapons.

Does anyone know if there is still a speed cap, and if so, how can it be calculated? I have some speed AA's I saved for after the CU, but don't know if they will do any good now for a MBH/MCarb template. Any info is much appreciated!
