What shot do I use to snare a target? Is there a root shot or did it get taken away with the CU?

You can snare with Crippling Shot.
As far as a root, I believe you would need to go with a Smuggler Concussion Shot or a Pistoleer Stopping Shot to get that. There may be one in Rifleman, too, but I haven't played with the long guns before.

Rifleman only has a Snare in the form of the Knee-Cap Shots. The problem with that special from Rifleman is that it doesn't slow down the target as much and lasts a very short time. Carbineer's Crippling Shots are far more effective and longer lasting as a Snare.

as the others say CrippleShot is the one that "snare" and its very effective too ![]()
my current template is
master Carbineer - Master Squad Leader - novice Creature Handler - Bounty Hunter xxx1
To me that is a very good template as it gives me a attack that holds mobs off me (the snare) i have the option to use a pet to pull out a mob from a cluster and i can decrease the mobs acc with the eyeshot from BH
and to top it of, the E5 carbine that is a master squad leader weapon is very very effective ![]()
