The new purpose of this forum is to discuss 'CH/carbineer' issues and discuss the most effective ways of surrendering your carbineer skills in the most efficient manner so that the carbineer player can make the smoothest possible transition to the creature handler profession.

heres some general tips"

1) surrender all of your carbineer skills except your novice carbineer skill box. (this way you can keep actionshot2 so that you can bleed your enemy while your new pet is keeping it occupied)

2) surrender you medic skills just low enough that you can make decent stims. no longer is there any reason to heal yourself now that you have a CH (eventually you will be able to enjoy the benefits of currentlyuselessBE profession and use their pets as well but at the time we at SOE are putting all of our development resources into nerfing the living **edit** out of all ranged classes so that the click-fest that used to be crowd control is now a spam-fest of pet commands-good times!)

3) we at SOE are retarded imbeciles and dont actually play the game -we dont need to as we have our trusty magic-8-balls to determine what kind of stupid ass **edit** we will do next! please-dont bother giving us feedback as we are merely 1000 chimpanzees sitting at 1000 computer consoles! we appreciate the effort but with all of us banging on our keyboards eventually we will get it right!

4) what was i talking about? we all have the attention span of 3 year olds and well sometimes we just dont think ahead nor do we learn from our mistakes.

5) oh ya...now that you are a CH and you can make your pets go BOOM BOOM and not have to use stupid carbines anymore. after all: this is star wars-didnt everyone have suicidal slave pets in the movies and books? hell having an rancor co-piloting your spaceship is practically canon in stephen kings E.T. universe!

6) i am hungry and need to eat a banana now. talk amongst yourselves while i eat my lunch and hit the pipe.

i disagree...i almost peed my pants.

i had no fun at all playing today (yesterday? i work night-shift, screws with my whole day/night hting. the day that the patch came out. no fun). and stopped playing after 3 hours of having my ass handed to me. you can look for me going commando (both profession, and nekkid) on chilastra server in protest.

It is unfortunate that the 3 basic ranged combat classes have become 'support' classes. No longer can you excell in one of these classes and consider yourself combat-ready. Although crude, the original poster is absolutely correct... tanks are now a requirement. There is NO option. None.

Eliminating the rapid-fire knockdown/posture changes = good idea

Offering notanking alternative=very bad idea

OMG ROFL!

Actually, I thought this was hilarious.

I think you need to look behind the post to see that the original poster is very angry, and using satire to make a point. I can respect that. He may have been a little harsh on SOE, but some of the changes of this last patch seem to really make that monkey theory seem a lil more viable.

Carbine needs help. But, so do my other professions, Squad Leader, and, yes, CH.

I know most are angry at CH, and I DO feel like there are too many pets. However, let me say, as a novice CH, with one skill box in each field, I find myself effectively about the same as a non-ch, now that they can all have pets.

I think SOE needs to stop nerfing and fix things like group chat, ghosting while in groups, factories, and Squad leader. Once game systems WORK, then nerf what you have to.

I thought this post was great. It was pretty funny. I enjoyed the ironic truth.

Soon all classes will have to be a CH. We should call this game Pet Wars!

Funny thing is the poster is dead on. I am a Carbineer with some Creature Handler skills and I need that tank. I got to the CH class late so I don't whine like most CH's about nerfs...I never knew what it was like before but I am enjoying taming pets and look forward to bigger and badder ones.

As a Carbineer I need tanks to solo, otherwise I have to fight the same mobs as when I was a Marksman
