Devs, why do all yourpatches keep ignoring Carbineers?

It is obvious that the Sony Devs HAVE read and been aware of the Carbineer issues as has beendiscussed in the thread with our Carbineer Correspondent. So why is it that the carbineer profession keeps getting ignored patch after patch after patch?

Carbineers have lots of outstanding issues, bugs, glitches, and shortcomings like many other classes. But not a single update or patch has even paid any attention to the Carbineer yet.Canyou Devs please explain why the process has been like this?

yeah, like even consistent spelling of our profession? still not in, despite the fact that pistoleers got an entirely renamed skill-tree. oh sure, at first glance it may seem that way...just hold your cursor over the novice and master carbinier (yeah, that's the way its spelled) boxes.

fix even one of our top5. liek the one you said would be fixed 'soon'. is 22 days soon? hell no. and for such a simple request, too. lets start asking for hard stuff, impossible stuff they'll never agree to. maybe we'll at least get a 'screw you, go away.' message

It's because all the Dev's are bounty hunters, commando's, pistoleers, and riflemen. And as a result we are the red headed step children of the weapon classes. But despite this all I am still to stubborn to change to something else

Greets ...

Because our class is far less broken then other class's.

Yesterdays patch? you think that was a Bounty Hunter pass? No ... it was not.

It was a "heavy weapons" pass. They actually made the Heavy Weapons ... well ... act like a Heavy Weapon should.

Bounty under is more uber now they have LLC's that rock? That's ok ... they will do a pass on Bounty Hunters as well ... and they will look at what is working and how powerful they are.

Bounty Hunter is an elite, elite. You have to master 2 full professions before taking it.

Hmm ... that's funny ... as a carbineer I had to have 1 tree of 1 profession before working on a master for carbineer ... yet I am going to cry they have better skills? They spent *all* their points getting there ... 3.0 professions. I spent .. hmm ... 1.3?

So ... we are not going to be like bounty hunters ... we are not elite/elites.

But that is another issue.

There are 33 professions ... we are 1 out of 33 ... and on a scale of 1 - 33 of what professions are broke the worst ... we are no where near the top 10 ... we are probably somewhere around 20 probably.

Holo did post on one of our things ... he knows about us ... but we are properly prioritized in his book ... don't look for fixes for us anytime soon. I am guessing 6 weeks before we see anything significant happen to us. I could be wrong, but doubt it.

honestly, i'd say that after melee (however many of professions of 'em there are...they all suffer from the same critical flaw) and squad leader (who spend something like 103 points to get /sysgroup (a system message to the group, +60 group terrain negotiation/+60 burst run efficiency...and that's IT as far as working/worth using ever skills abilities) we're next. chefs might be bad off...i don't know. armorsmiths/weaponsmiths, pistoleers/rifleman, bh/commando/smuggler (well, sort of smuggler...there purpose isn't really implemented), marksman/scout/ranger...these professions all have something about them to choose THAT profession over a different one. carbineers USED to. we now don't. if we want high damage to a random pool, with a high concentration of normal fire (50% or more) going to health...any class without being able to do massive damage to a ham-pool other than health is relegated to a secondary status of importance in a group. riflemen are good(? i assume? haven't really fought much in pvp)in PvP because of mind-damaging head-shots. pistoleers because they target the health with body-shot 2, get health-bleeds, and have a dps that is nearly as high (if not equal or higher to) a carbineer of comparable skills and weaponry.

i guess i'm just at a loss as to WHY carbineers should be in the game at all. a few hard-core nutcases left over from the 'good 'ol days' (and i include myself here) don't seem to justify an entire profession.

at the same time, pistoleers/riflemen took a huge hit with this nerf as well. in fact, i seriously question the viability of ANY of the elite professions as anything more than something someone gets who wants to craft as well as fight, or heal and fight.

My vision of a carbineer after scrolling thru the skills would be that we are Ranged support specialists, capable of holding own against all the other comabt professions in the game, Forcing ppl to the ground while charging, and finally, give a good covering fire if a group has to run.

As it stands now, the carbineer is none of these. We are the first to go down in any fire fight due to our High HAM. Our only chance of crowd control in PvP and PvE is now gone due to that 30sec KD timer. more than Half our skills are broken, I"ll say this again, more than HALF our SKILLS are BROKEN!! The lesser carbineer skills are doing more damage than then higher skills and have less costs. Charge shot2 isn't even AoE like it's supposed to. Suppression2 doesn't even work right. scattershot 1/2 says it does 1 dmg but it's actually doing more.....I could go on but I think everyone gets the picture.

Right now the Dev's are really ignoring us. I"M glad they fixed the Commando's. But for now, they need to STOP fixing the pistoleer, or nerf them into ground by giving them our HIGH HAM costs like us. I say this because pistoleers are doing more dmg in PvP than the carbineer ( I've tested this out several times ). The Dev's attention needs to be set to fixing another class and that should us carbineer's. Not even a word from them and our class in the patch messages, except from the rewording of our class which imo, LAME and a complete waste of time. I could care less about the spelling. That was the last thing that should've been fixed, not the First.

But as it stands now, we carbineers are just some guy/girl with a carbine. Nothing too special about us right now. Yeah we can stun,KD, and make things kneel, but the other classes can do that. As for this, Carbineer as it does not stand out above the rest of the classes like all the other classes.

I find Carbine to be even more a special skill now that before.. We dont really do the 4-5k shots like riflemen do. Our movement isn't as good as it used to be. Can't spam posturechanges or KDs for the effect. Takes more finess now that it use too.. But still works. Just have to use Diff Tactics now. I bet I can still do Red NPCs using bleed.

One thing we have to do is look farther down the road.. They've alrdy stated new weapons for the marksman classes are in the works. Neither Riflemen or Pistoleers have had a big boost/look over either. I would love to see us as well as Riflemen and Pistoleers get a specialist powerup.. for us: Gernade Launcher (5shots). Carbines are the True Assult weapons. We need to stick to making sure this happens. But I never did say ultimate killing weapons. More like Take Down Style.

I took this class knowing that it wasn't quite right from the beginning.. Just hope that we dont end up beeing forced into taking up a melee class as well. This is my 4th major mmorpg. All have been the old Sword and Sorcery types (UO, EQ, and Daoc.. AO just didn't grab me). Hence this is Star Wars.. When did you see alot of Meleeing going on, other than jedi or Giant Petskilling everything for you. You saw Blasters, Driods, and Ships mostly.
