So just what is a 0-2-0-0 Carbineer supost to be able to posture change? I've noticed that it's not even worth using Suppression fire, and the action shots are only good for the bleeds. Mise well just stick to full auto 2, and charge shot 2 untill I get cripple shot huh? No use for hitting the action pool now.

I never use legshot, unless the the target has extremely low action and high others. Crippling on everything else

I'm not sure if they added this lately but /actionshot1 (action bleed) does have the ability to afflict a posture change on the target.

It would also seem that the first few shots of all carbines does a Threaten Shot effect. I'm not sure if what I'm noticing is just lag but it's been fairly consistent on everything I've been shooting. If I used another gun, say a pistol, shoot a creature it would run straight for me but while I use a carbine there is a chance that the creature would stand up, walk back and forth (like what Threaten Shot would do) seemingly trying to find what shot at them.

I've even had a lot of times when the critter would walk back and forth then walk out of range and just stay there. It's very strange since they are damaged but they're not coming for me. So, carbines in general might have the innate ability to do a Threaton Shot effect, with just regular shots.

I have noticed this too. When I use pistol, they usually attack me after a few shots. But with carbine, they sometimes take like 10 hit before even noticing me, then they stand around for a while and THEN start moving. Though, thats if I shoot normal shots. If I use specials only, they come after a few hits.

The "free hits" you get in at the beginning of combat on a mob isn't determined by your weapon type.

Rather it's determined by when the creature detects you. Factors such as the distancetothe target, your posture (ie whether you're standing, kneeling or prone). And whether or not your masked scent is working can affect how many freebies you get before the mob is on you.

If you're standing and unmasked you'll be lucky to get in 2. Kneeling at 64m I usually get in 3. Prone, 64 with mask scent working, I can sometimes get in 5 or 6.

What's funny tho is that if you shoot at a social mob (one that will baf), his friends will automagically know where you are after the first or second hit while your original target sometimes remains clueless.

I consistently get posture changes using my laser carbine from Kortec, don't have exact stats (at work).

I am usually surprised when I don't knock an npc to his knees.

Solo I go actionshot1 if I don't want to upset anyone but my target and let it bleed while I run. When it comes I bounch it like a yo-yo with warning and if that's not landing I suppress it.

Anytime the mob is down I leg shot it to death as long as I have mind pool to heal my action pool.

Expensive as hell but fast.
