I purchased a Laser Carbine from some random guy that has pretty sick stats. Its 15-340 at 4.1spd and is sliced for speed, so these are the damage stats it had originally. It's got nothing listed in the Weapon Creator field and I've never seen another carbine like it. The HAM costs are higher than other laser carbines which sucks, but the damage is pretty incredible. For reference I'm not even a Novice Carbineer, just a Master Marksman, and I can hit for 1700dmg against NPCs with Legshot2. The best laser carbines I've found on my server are in the area of 270dmg, I've found them at a number of shops made by Master Weaponsmiths. I can't figure out how this one got the stats it has. Any insights?

sounds like you got an awesome carbine. Can you examine it and see who made it? i'd buy all my weapons from that person from now on if i were you. What server?

The guy lied to you, it was definetelly sliced for damage. But on the grand scheme of things its a pretty bad carbine.

Here are the 2 i use: 50-371 3.6 speed & 36-266 2.4 speed. Both are 29/45/22 in terms of ham

no mad that type of damage is impossible unless it is sliced with a powerup...i have seen many Master Smugglers and Weponsmiths make the highest damage carbines and the stats are like 40-350 3.6

but the HAM's are 50/70/50

No he didn't lie to me unless its some special weapon that can be sliced twice. Because after I purchased it I had it sliced for speed

As far as the maker goes there is no maker listed. When I examine it the weapon creator feild is totally blank... just like the CDEF Pistol you had as a noob or what have you.

it might be a reb faction perk wepon... are you a reb? i have seen many strange things when it comes to stuff that you should need to be overt to use..

Actually, i think some weaponsmiths may be adding optional components to laser carbs now. I bought some very high damage unsliced laser carbs from a vender on Valcyn. Unsliced the min damage was 77. I've never seen an unsliced minimum that high on a laser carb before. The max damage was high as well, 280ish if i recall correctly.

Anyway, the damage was so high i thought for sure it was sliced, but hen i went and had it sliced just to be sure and it dropped my speed from 4 to 2.8.

It wasn't until later i noticed that the thing has 52 health and 75 action in the HAM costs. My guess is that stocks or scopes or something (are adding both damage and HAM costs).

I have two more in my pack. I'm going to have them sliced and see if i can get one of them sliced for damage. These could be pretty sweet weapons as long as you don't spam too many specials.

As far as the carbine being a rebel faction weapon... probibly not. I bought a rebel faction laser carbine, the only thing it had diffrent then your average Laser carbine was a point blank modifier of 0. I would quote the exact statistics, but the thing just sits in my safe deposit box, and havent touched it since I bought it. Just a FYI, so for all you fellow Rebel Carbineers, the faction carbine wasn't worth the 500 faction points.

Could it have been a drop off an NPC? Did you get it with some of the condition gone?

I'm thinking it was made using Krayt Tissue (which improvesa gun the same way advanced components improve medicines).

I'm betting it was made with a rifle stock, possibly an advanced one. These add some pretty big max damage bonuses at a major speed hit. The stats you posted would be about right for a laser carbine with an advanced stock.

Was made using a stock and/or scope. These add to damage and range modifiers, while increasing ham costs significantly.

my laser carb is 42-351 3.6 speed (sliced for damage) ham costs are pretty normal at 32/45/26, with powerups i can hit 400+ max 90+ min... i dunno, maybe the guy who made it had superior materials or someting
