Thread: I am a BH
No offense but with Pharmacology 4 (for healing)
I am insane, with 85 speed I shoot a 2.3 sec Laser Carabine for 2000-3000 a SECOND, and I have a ranged knockdown, I can do lvl 50 faction missions in under 2 minutes
So for all of you that say, that carabineers are broken, I agree, we are...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just one correction, a pistoleer with the same configuration have ranged KD, cause he just need to invest 5 points to take the 1st block of BH's carabine and do a nice macro that switch the weapons and perfomr the KD.
So yes i think pistol is as effective, but dunno which is the strongest.

Cripple shot is the staple here, it uses little mind when using, so u can heal urself over and over and over. HAM costs are not that bothersome, I kill a 9k HAM mob in the matter of 3-4 shots (depends if it hits the same pool) Its confusion shot for dizzy (big damage hit also), Fire KD (also a lot of damage), Spam Cripple shot (HUGE DAMAGE when the target is on the floor lying down because of dizzy) usually 5k hits
If u find a doctor to buff ur str, and quickness, ur specials take NO HAM at all... Now Imagine me running around doing 5k damage hits every 1.5 seconds or so without using 1 point of HAM. (INSANITY) Btw if not for the TEF revenge, Commandos are gimps. If you are a smart carabineer with cripple shot and bounty carabine 4 ur accuracy is 135, which is equvialent of never missing. If u are in combat ALWAYS MOVE, I cant stress this enough. KEEP RUNNING AROUND, they will never hit you, meanwhile u will be a menace.

Carbineer/Pistoleer/Bounty Hunter
In response to Tref: Okay, here's the problem for me. Once I saw the insane amount of Bounty Hunters running around, I decided I did not want to be one, even though that had been my plan from launch. I figuerd to master Carbineer since it was my favorite weapon in the Marksman phase, and dabble in whatever suited me, leaving a lot of skill points available to play with. Pursuing the Bounty Hunter class takes up a lot of space, and BHs are better with their carbines to boot. Why? I shouldn't have to take up Bounty Hunter to be a good Carbineer. Just finishing your carbine tree, you outclass me with my own weapon at Master level, even though you used it for only a fourth of the time. Now that's INSANITY.
As far as the Doctor buff thing goes, yeah that's great. Unfortunately, it's almost a necessity to be effective out there. Doctor's buffs offset the extreme HAM costs of carbines. What other class needs them to function correctly? I'm against spamming specials, because they make the game break down into "whose special is better?", and the actual skill with the weapon counts for less. They should be set up like nitro in a drag race, the extra boost to get you to the finish line. Not the premier method of attack. The buffs let you spam your specials, and that's okay. Super boosts to your stats should let you do super things. Without them though, carbineers kill themselves to use a special move, while other classes can spam all day without a buff to be found. Buffs are cool if you use them, but I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.

To add BH Carbine 1 to some one who is a master Pistoleer wouldn't only cost 5 skill points. It would cost 136 skill points (the rest of the Marksman tree to Master (63pts), Scout to Master (77pts), plus Novice BH (6pts)and BH Carbine 1 (5pts).

okay 2 things, first: How are you liking the BH carbine special skills? I had heard the fire knockdown was broken and confusion shot wasn't all that great, is this true? Second: don't you think a pistoleer with the same setup would be just about as effective? No ranged knockdown true, but several bleeds and stopping shot would more than make up for it ithink. Anyway, hopefully you'll be able to fill me in on the BH carbine line.

Except, a pistoleer with "the same configuration" would already be a BH with the pistols line. So it's 5 points for underhand shot.
cripple shot with a master weaponsmith carabine (NOT KRAYAT) i think the krayat are a waste of money, cause my carabine need to be repaired every 1-2 days. Slice it for damage and a wpu with 33% max damage, and u are an animal ![]()
