Thread: Master Carbineer beyond fed up
OK i trusted them when they said they were looking into things. I hoped things would get better but at this point I really dont see much point in waiting it out. I will see if any improvemant comes with the next big patch and if it's not good I'm gone it's as simple as that. they don't have us listed on any of the profession fixing lists and that basicly means we arent getting any fixes untill well into next year and I am not waiting that long.
This here is directed at SOJ you have done a decent job but you keep saying there are fixes but I can't tell you what (Im sorry but I am tired of that approach from SOE).We have gotten 3 posts basicaly saying we are looking into the issues but then NADA. TH says trust him he will get back to us.Well has SOE done anything to this profession to earn or even keep that trust. Please tell us what is planned or just tell us you aren't going to do anything and the ones here can all become Commando's or BH or CH. Your constant mutter we will get to this SOON is getting old. please If you would define soon.
I keep hearing people say just use foods or buffs to get around some of the issues. Well every other time I use these ways one or more of my stats gets bugged to 150. It is so much fun playing with 3-5 stats stuck at 150. I dont feel like running half way accross the galaxy so that i can play for another hour and a half.
On a possitive note this may mean I will be that much closer to being a jedi.
after we where told that is fixed only to find that it STILL not working gets old, and to here oh yea will be fixing it soon (yea right) sort of like the cartoon with a group of people laughing saying - (you want it when) is about the sane responce we seem to be getting.
Also, we so love are ham use of wepons, nice that B/H or pistoler can use less than us on there specials what a hoot that is, and yes its being looked into as well.(see above)
And last but not least how about that elite carbine, NOT so elite are they, You cant blame the master weponsmiths as they can only make what with what avalible resourse is on server, and or a stat change made by devs. oh and yes that getting looked into as well. (see above)
anyone have any recomendations on where to go from here i have maxed combat 300 or 450k dont remember and 900k carbine exp. I realy don't PvP unless its a guild fight or a freind is under attack. My other masteries are scout and ranger. I could probably go CH or BH but im not sure how good BH would be PvE.

My main character is a master carbineer/master doctor. My 2nd character is a BH/Commando. I plan to get BH pistol 4, Commando Flame 4, Pistoleer stance 1, and novice medic. I'll tell you this much, it was way more fun playing as a commando or bounty hunter in PvE then it is killing yourself as a carbineer. Try either one of them out or both, their alot of fun. Their weapons are far superior then anything in carbineer, and their specials actually work!!!! OMG can you believe that ![]()
heh, it's been like a week or 2 since I maxed out on combat/carbine.
I gave up Carbine marksman 4 for bh carbine 4 - gave up bh carbine 4 and went carbine marksman 4 and master carbineer - and capped at 900k carbine exp for awhile now.
PvP: Smuggler pistol +pistolleer + tracking 4 or something (medic?) what ever you want to add.
PvE: Master CH + Master Riflemen + novice pistoleer. (Tank, 2 Health Bleeds, Armor Piercing + Strafe2) That is strong in PvP as well, but definetly not as strong as panic shot - low blow - lastditch/stoping shot with the pistoleer defences.
ouch. Ive been toying with the idea of going pistoleer ever since the day i made master carbineer. not sure how much longer i can hold out.
The real piss off is that the aren't doing anything AT ALL. It would be one thing if we got one fix every major update but we aren't even getting that. We aren't getting anything. This profession could be so cool if only we had some MUCH NEEDED attention from the Devs.

Accuracy too. I COULD go check for certain but I'll just ramble off the numbers I remember for certain.

I would say there may be other changes, but I KNOW there are. I think our defense VS intimidate has been raised by 10 points or so (like that really matters a whole lot) and master carbineer gets a bunch of bonus increases I believe, like the ranged defense increase that I do specifically remember. I personally was hoping for a speed bonus or maybe an accuracy while moving bonus (both of which may be in master carbineer but I mean I was hoping for in their respective tiers) because I'm personally sick of getting my ass kicked by jawas because I miss8 times in a row on the run. The accuracy bonus may or may not apply to while moving - I'm personally not sure since I've seen skill attachments that affect accuracy while standing, and there's the accuracy while moving bonuses - perhaps the generic 'carbine accuracy' is applied to both?
My advice to the original poster would be to take doctor as well. When I get buffed up, not only do my health and action more than double, my secondary stat buffs reduce my HAM cost so much that it takes literally NO health or action to fire a carbine special. Get a mind buff from an entertainer and HAM cost should be 0. Wouldn't that be a dream come true, eh guys? =)
