Thread: LegShot4 for MasterCarb! Agree?
Well most of us carbineers have asked that our MASTER box count for something more significant. How about something like Leg Shot 4?
Here is my proposal, and I feel it is a reasonable request of the Devs:
Leg Shot 4
- targets Action pool only
- slightly more damage than Leg Shot 3 (say 20% increase)
- Stun or Dizzy (but not both)component lands 75% chanceon each hit
Is this a REASONABLE addition to make the Carbineer Master box more meaningful?I think so.
Is this TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE that the Devs wont even bother considering it? I dont think so.

I can't remember what thread this was in, so this was not my idea, but I like it and it makes sense.
1.)Fixburst shot 2 by giving it the attributes of crippling shot.
2.) Make crippling shot into a high damage action targeting attack, more damage than leg shot 3 (if it actually worked like it was supposed to, feh) but applied to a single target, not AOE (again, like leg shot 3 is supposed to be, but isn't).
3.) Fix leg shot 3 to be like the devs described it - 2.5 damage modifer and AOE. Currently it is the same as leg shot 2, with only a 2x modifier and single target.
if they give carbines legshot4, then they will have to give rifle headshot4 and pistol bodyshot4.
but i agree that we need SOMETHING at master, especially since we are the only one of the three that doesn't have a spec at master.
Rish's post is more along the right lines. The only real problem I see is that I don't think the DEVs will do a whole lot of reworking of the skills (what specials go with each special). From the feel of the specials though, that suggestion seems to be the way it SHOULD be.
I have, recently, seen legshot 3 hit multiple targets. First time ever I have noticed it. Yes, I did wet myself in disbelief. I believe it is on a cone effect and not on an AOE (a cone being...well, a cone and an AOE being a radius around the target and grounded from that target). Actionshot 2 works like this (cone effect). The closer I am, the fewer mobs I hit. If I pull back to 60m, the cone has more time to "widen" and hits more of the creatures. This is where I think legshot 3 is borked. The cone does not seem to "widen".
At any rate, I don't think adding another not so working special is the way to go. At least you are thinking of possibilities though. ![]()
Master Carbineer Ablity
Takedown Shot - This should be the typical Carbine assault move of planting two shots in the chest then one in the head to finish them off. It should do high damage to the health poll and medium to the mind.

Well they already said that it is important that the Master Box means something.Isn't that what the CH changes are all about? Yes yes, I believe so. The CH changes will greatly reward those who reach the Master CH box.
So likewise, IMHO the Carbineer Master Box should be something to strive for.
