Do any of you guys have secrets or tips or gaining exp fast?

back in the day (before i took a break from SWG), i use to fight feral banthas because they wouldn't swarm at you. they gave 900 exp each and were easy to kill using action shots.

Do you guys know of ways to help me with the grind? Carbine exp seems soooo slooowww.

Good places to hunt or anything?

I would recommend that you first get yourself a good tank pet, myself is a CH 1,1,0,0 wich allows me to have a Greater Sludge panther. I do not know how the new patch will affect this though.

Am I alone I usually hunts tortons on Rori, they give me about 3 k xp each . and the lair gives about 4k

6 tortons in each lair gives about 22 k XP for each mission. this has worked great for me so far

If I hunt in a group, defiler missions on Dathomir are usually great.

Depending on where you hunt, and your skill, several planets have "hot spots" for carbineer xp. My favorites are on dantooine and endor.

On dantooine head to the imperial outpost, go NW about 1k and you will find Graul spawns. Get a good DXR6 carbine (grauls are vulnerable to acid) and a good tanking pet (preferably a graul) and BurstShot 1 away! each kill with get you 3.5-4.2xp per and the lairs spawn numerous grauls.

On endor, go to the smuggler outpost, and head any direction to find a variety of Mereks. Using a decent laser or elite carbine (vulnerable to energy), as well as an UBER tank pet (graul mauler or 2) BurstShot 1 to your hearts content. They give 3.5-5.5xp per (depending on type).

However, it is always smarter to do both of these planets in groups, unless you have good medic skills and decent pets. There is no shortage of mereks on endor, they are all over the place, same with grauls on dantooine. Once you find a decent spot, there will most likely be more in the general area.

Good Luck!

I've been Kunga hunting on Dantooine with my ATST and I can usually pull 1500exp per 'Kunga rockshaper' and theres about 4 in a camp so it's not bad. the cash ain't too shabby either.

if his a rebel he doesnt have the luxary to use AT-STs to do all the tanking for him.

Best thing i found is pay a doctor for buffs and go hunt something big, that way you can spam your specials without worrying about ham cost. Use a pet to tank but not something too overly powerful or it'll still the xp from you. Longhorn pikets (on dantooine, 10k credit missions)are pretty easy kilsl with a descent pet, about 3k xp in total per kill, just attack the males first since they will group aggro if you attack the females. THen just pick off the females one at a time. it helps if you have hunting friends too.

Without pets:

Group with a fair amount, but not too many people(4 is a good number ofpeople)on Dathomir. Hunt Kamurith Defilers. The rest of the group will supply either the pets or the melee characters to tank. Pull out a Laser or Elite carbine, kneel, and spam your most powerful single attack shot. Early on these would be: FullAutoSingle2, BurstShot1, and if you use your first 3 boxes on Carbine Marksmanship, the famed Crippling Shot. I gravely warn against using FullAutoArea, because all it takes is one hit on the lair to spawn the second wave of Kams, and that's a sure fire way to get the entire group killed.

With pets:

You can take on just about anything, using a rock beetle(does not require any CH skills), action shot 1 and 2, and your leg shot abilities.

I don't think you can get missions for these anymore, but seething bol crushers on Dantooine are very very good for leveling. They're pretty tough, armor 2 with decent resists, but vulnerable to heat.
This is where my little friend, the EE3, comes into play.

Currently, kamurith defilers on Dathomir are the best place to level anything and everything. Clvl 50 with no armor/resists at all and only 9.5k HAM. A good non-ch krevol with some pet stims is all you need

My best xp comes from killing Pikets on Dantooine with my laser. I group with a commando, and we survive using our Cowardly Gurrecks. However, a group with at least one tank, some stims, and brains can survive these guys. A carbineer can solo ONE piket by cycling through KD, warning shot, and bleed, with a burst shot in between each. Just don't ever run away from the piket if it's charging you AND you're trying to get off a posture change shot. YOU WILL MISS (It's running, you're running, accuracy modifier is waaaaayyyy down). This goes for a wide variety of creatures as well. But the pikets only have 30% armor for energy, and I get 2.5-3k xp each with my commando friend.
