Thread: You guys got nerfed too (a previously overlooked fix)

And it would seem that not very many of you are concerned about the nerf that you just got. I am a former master carbineer, I like the profession a lot, I dropped it to try out other template combinations.
Anywho, your scattershot2 is no longer nearly as effective as it once was. It once had the ability to bypass secondary defenses and toughness. This includes dodge, counterattack, block, and all profession toughness, jedi defenses, and mitigation food.
I know all about the rather limited nature of this profession, but I was wondering what the carbineer forum guys thought about this.

I think most Carbineers knew it was bugged to be too good. It was good while it lasted, but right now i'm more excited by having 48 more SP to play with...

Thats the name of the game with this class, bugged specials that actually give us an ounce of combat effectiveness, nerfed/fixed while the crux of our issues still stick.

I will tell you EXACTLY how I feel about this.....about freakin' time the lazy arse POS Devs get some sh!t fixed.
This isn't a nerf, the damn shot was broken oh clueless wonder.
I get so fed up with all the BS about "this fix nerfs this"......come on people half of this sh!t is broken and needs fixed.....

I dont know anyone other than mikael that was able to spam scattershot2 in pvp and 'pwn' anything. This class takes top quality weapons to survive in this age of combat.
After the revamp and perhaps on BH changes I might want to go the carbineer route again. And they should let carbineer fire specials on top of kaadu's
calvary!!!

I can spam ScatterShot2 in PvP and pwn most everybody but the CM's......
Of course there are also plenty of people that are setup in a way that NEITHER of us win.....

But seriously go troll somewhere else. Most of us are more concerned about the game working properly then spamming broken specials to 'pwn' in PvP.

Woke me up too, but no thanks from me, it's nearly 4 am and I don't want to be woken up, I want to go to bed after I read this lol. 
I agree, it's about time they fixed it, and it WAS NOT a nerf. It gives me all the more reason to say I beat my foe fair and square, unlike a few other classes can say. **cough**CM**cough**havla**cough**
To you CMs out there, I'm just playing, so don't make a production out of my little joke. I was once a CM too

FallAM, most of us knew about it, and it occured as well for Fencers on their scatterhit specials. I personally never use scattershot and probably still won't since it aims for all pools, after testing with a buddy of mine my armor only showed preventing 1 point of damage out of the pre-fixed scattershot/hit.
So this isn't a nerf, it's that thing many game devs rarely do, a fix.

Well. Like chargeshot 1 it was a long time coming. A little peeved am I? Well just a little but not for the reasons you would think. Im peeved that it took a jedi to whine about it to get it fixed.
From what I have seen scattershot2 is just as effective as before. It has been in my combat toolbar since I first mastered the profession in oct (mastered carbineer 3 times). It's not really powerfull by itself but at least it does some damage. Do a 3 to 1 ratio of scattershots to crippleshots and it makes for an effective combination. And the entire blocking issue peeves me a bit as well. I can see dodging or counterattacking as a viable defense against this or any other multi-pool attack. But blocking? Multi-pool attack....ummm...no. Not even Luke was that good. If he was then explain the scortch mark he acquired in ROTJ. Point being is that your going to be hit. The chances of blocking the entire attack should be slim to none.
Well Im happy that I can do something else with my super carbineer come this friday. Maybe take up bh pistols/pistoleer 0-0-4-4 so I can have an effective secondary weapon and some mediocre defense.
