I started to go up the carbineer tree over a year ago,and was rather dissappointed with the profession. But I now they have had time to fine tune the profession. So I am curious how effective the profession is nowadays?

Well that is an open ended and tough question to answer. Each prof plays a bit different (or a lot in some cases) so you must pick one that fits your play style. SWG makes is easy (almost too easy IMO) to switch profs if you don't like something.

Of course I love Carbineer but it isn't for everybody. Just being Master Carbineer will not be an upper tier combat template but adding FS Mods or SEA's or BH Carbs will make it play a lot different.....even viable in most cases

The basic idea of being a Carbineer is it is a "thinking person's profession"....meaning you have 3-6 weapons and 8-10+ Specials to use and MUST use to be effective. Carbineer has no "I WIN" button smashing like most other profs. So it all boils down to what you want to get out of SWG and what your play style is.....hopefully I have described where Carbineer fits in with respect to other profs

even carbineer by itself is viable. if you have a decent speed and damage carbine, with SEA's to cap speed we do quite well in PvE. anything with 40k HAM or under is an easy target if you know what your doing, and my other profession is WS with no medic at all, but its more about doing what you have fun with.

Master Doc with Master Carbines will be a very supportive class.

The only concern you should address right away is the issue of the speed. The FAQ write up on speed does a great job at going over how exactly everything works. But the short version of this situation comes down to this. The +60 at master won't get you far if anywhere at all. You need to seek alternative methods of speed. The only 2 real options are SEA's + FS Speed Mods or going up the BH tree. Since you won't have points for BH, that really leaves you with one option.

I just recently dropped rifleman and found it of course powerfull in PVP of course but in PVE I used TKM. This is due to the fact that I would go through weapons (T21's) very fast. Condition wise. Is this true with carbineer also or does the condition not drop as fast. Or was it the quality of the weapons, although I was buying from one of the best on the server.
