Thread: Soloing High Level Mobs: M/Carbs needs advice from the pro's
My Current Temp is Mcarbs Mbh novice smuggler.
Perks: Blend of defense between melee and ranged, high rate of fire, decent accuracy, a good root, a good snare, knock down, blind, bleed, dizzy/stun, 4 area attacks (one with snare), good terrain negotiation, jedi hunting, Blend of defense goes well with best assault (for animals) and battles (for any purpose).
Disadvantages: No special heal perks, not designed to defeat other ranged professions.
Advantages:Ability toact as very significantcroud control against jedi in PvP,superb at soloing krayts and gorax (pwns rifleman by a long shot).
supposedly they are going to turn smug root into a paralize, so then I would go MCarb, MBh, Pistol 0404 (the root kinda bites compaired to concussion but theres a big accuracy and defense perk)
...im not really that interested in hunting jedi as ive read how boring it can get
The root is concussion shot, right? Ive heard that is going to be altered, but I cant find anything official...i like it tho ![]()
I was thinking, since disarming shot and kneecap arent that important,i'd try this:
m/Carbs, 0004 CM, 0003 pistoleer, 0040 BH, 4040 scout
or
m/carbs, 0004 CM, 0004 pistols, n/smuggler, 0030 scout
the second one gets me 3 roots, but not as much damage.
anyone tried either of these? Ive only got one respec on this toon, so i must use it wisely.

That template looks great. Great root(stopping), great snare(cripple), and a great KD(charge). Not a CM myself so not familiar with Electrolyte drain but sounds good. You should have no problems
No need for knee cap as cripple shot is better.

The Smuggler Concussion shot is hot. While I don't have it on my MCarb, my other toon is a smuggler and IMO it beats Stopping Shot hands down. The recharge is amazing. But if your strapped for SPs, Smuggler may not be a good direction to go.
And a side note on BH. Even if you don't plan on hunting Jedi, its a great secondary profession to pick up. Good shots, good bonuses.

I'm not really sure of what CL this will put you at, it may end up being 76, which could hurt you if you plan on going after high end mobs.
I'm not sure how much the difference in healing will be after Pub19 between:
a) MCarb/MCM/Doc4000 (Heal Eff. 155) and b) MCarb/MCM/Pistoleer0404 (Heal Eff. 80)
I'm talking 'bout a difference in Healing Efficiency for 75 points, if you don't use BE Clothes and Attachments.
Sure low acc and def, but I compensate it with:
- Pikata Pie (dodge) (or maybe Air Cake, not sure which one my combat toon has...)
- Elshandruu Pica Thundercloud (ranged def)
- Vegaparise (melee def)
- Crispic (melee/ranged acc)
- Bofa Treat (Health Regen)
- Blob Candy (action regen)
- Spiced Tea (mind regen)
