Squadleader/carbineer/CM 4000 (currently novice CH to play with pet/droids), it's a fun combo with a nicely crafted E5 and Grievious striker. You'll be lacking a little in speed and defense, but some of the specials from carbineer are among the highest outside BH.

Hey. I am currently Master Rifleman/Master Squad Leader, but I'm drowing tired of rifleman, so I'm changing.... I need my template to be viable in Group PvP, and I need to be able to solo (to an extent. I dont have any plans for soloing CL90s, but..... I need to be able to solo a bit)
does Carabineer/Squad Leader Meet those requirements? Thanks for responses

I run MSL/MCarb Grunt Leader myself. It's a very viable combination. A Krayt or Gorax all alone is very hard, but in case of emergency it can be done still. (Not sure if that'll still be possible after Pub 24, but i assume that it won't be much easier for the rifleman...)
And this is although i "lost" a good deal of skillpoints by learning novice BE for some basebusting, so if that's not part of your plan, you can get yourself some decent healing or something else still, should work out quite fine.

Well, after the Squad leader revamp, SL will get a significant defense and speed increase

I'm master squad leader, master carbineer and BH 0 4 0 4. I find that this template is very nice in PvP as long as you have a healer. I've tried doing the CM 4 0 0 0 thing but I find myself limited with that.

I panic everytime I lose health, so I'd feel really gimped if I didn't have any healing

Oh you want CM to keep yourself healed? It won't be a very good way after publish 24, you might want just 0040 or 0240 medic or novice doctor, bacta spray and bacta toss will litterly hog your action bar. CM 4000 is mainly part of my SL's template for guild-group support, not for myself.

How much action does being a SL drain on TC? Because yea CM 4000 will drain you if your doing specials AND healing, but its better to be not doing specials and soley healing, than dead.
