Carbineer Archive

I've been either a Mcarb/Mdoc with some CM or Mcarb/MCM/with some doc since the CU came out. I've never really considered anything else because quite frankly, I never really thought anything else was possible to be a good PvPer. Honestly I could care less about trying to be unique, I PvP to be effective. Whenever I go out PvPing my goal is to make as big of a difference as I can, and master healer templates let me do that. With AB sliced armor and the proper use of foods and heals I can almost be invincible for a period of time (I tanked 4 jedi for 7 minutes once). I feel as if I am more than just a grunt or a silly non-jedi, but to be reckoned with as an equal among jedi.

However, I'm getting bored of being a healer. I want to try something that brings something new (but keeps master carbineer), but I'm afraid of becoming sub-jedi by gimping my healing ablities. In the type of battles I tend to be in, its usually small group action where frequently I'm outnumbered. In fact I LOVE To fight outnumbered, I got a sort of Spartan Thermopylae complex.

I guess my question is, has anyone had any success with any other templates that don't include master healer that they feel they make a serious difference in a small to large scale battle and can survive reasonably when targeted (I fight people that know me, so if I get something thats useful, but fragile, I'll die first every battle)? Also I know theres many profession changes down the line (commando, SL, Ranger, SAC on healing) that would make something viable. Remember I'm not talking about comparing 1v1 or with other non-jedi, I'm comparing to groups including mostly if not only jedi.

I played with 4000 CM before (before the upcoming SAC costs keep in mind) and I found that using CM heals as primary heals was sort of unreliable (enhancer bugs and all). So I dunno, maybe I'm just being greedy thinking I can find an effective template that can also keep me alive as much as being a uber healer.

anyways mCarbs/mPistols/cm 4004 = strictly awesome/amazing/any word you can think of.

fanshot, full auto area, suppression fire= great aoe damage. someone charges you, advanced stopping shot... or crippling shot... or paralyze... lol. also you can intimidate shot the enemies who are known to be incredible damage dealers, hampering their effectivness. also, using the combo disarming shot/ (wait 5 seconds)/ and then charge shot when a melee or jedi's aura/cob has been blinking for about 5 seconds = melee or jedi without aura/cob.

then of course the cm aspect. thyroid rupture the notorious damage dealers. good healing. tip: dont use a macro for enhancers, get used to hitting ctrl+1 and then hitting your enhancer, then retargeting. slightly more cumbersome, and surely more of a pain, but trust me it saves you lag and time once you get good at it. macros suck plain and simple.

anyways imo its the best pvp temp in the game.

Quatto's template, and it kicks ass! Fantastic heals, damage dealing and crowd control. Thyroid repture and electrolite drain means solo'ing ANY type of Krayt is a piece of cake. In duels or pvp'er you are litterally a puppeteer.... making your target do what YOU want them to!

Can't see myself ever changing from this template tbh, unless SOE hit part of it with the nerf bat at some point....
