I just got married, bought a new house, etc. so I've turned into a very casual gamer. PvE is my primary focus andI don't have time to sit in a buff line every time I log in. I use Ahrisa (+focus), Garrmorl (+health, str, con), and Accarragm (+action, qui, sta). This allows me to wear a good suit of composite while keeping my secondary stats at a decent level. These foods/drinks also last for about 40 min each, which is very convenient. My spec is:

0,4,4,4 BH

4,4,1,4 CH (because I like pets, I know CH isn't the best tanking option)

I've always liked carbines, so I'm thinking about training in some Carbineer.... I only have 12 SPs left right now, but I'm open to freeing up some SPs if I like Carbineer enough (e.g. dropping LLC, etc.)

So, considering that I run unbuffed and have a strong CL 50 pet to tank for me, should I go for Crippling Shot (big damage and HAM cost) or Burst Shot 1/2 (lower damage and HAM cost). Btw, I'd use BH specials for dizzy and KD. I just need a good special to do some damage.

Any other suggestions (template, food, etc.) are also much appreciated! I just don't have time to do a lot of experimenting anymore.

Get burstshot1.

I play about the same as you and rely heavily on burstshot1 for my standard attacks. It has the highest output when compared to HAM costs. I am sure someone is going to say read the FAQ and you will find out a lot there.

Do you think it's worth keeping the LLC and/or BH pistol lines or should I concentrate more SPs on Carbineer? I could use a pistol for health bleed,fire dot (torso shot), and blind (eye shot) and then switch to carbine for dizzy, kd, and burst shot 1. In that scenario, would burst shot 1 be better than torso shot as my main damaging special?

Would this type of setup (or a similar setup) allow me to tackle bigger PvE targets like Nightsisters?

Nice to see you read the FAQ Absolutly go for burstshot 1/2. These are IMO the best carb specials in relation to damage vs HAM cost. As for dropping LLC that is a bit of a quandry. Many highend MOBs are basicly immune to heat, acid and energy rendering your carb skills useless. If it were me I would probably keep LLC and do 0030 carbs if you have the SP to get there.
