I have enough skill points and enough XP to get either Master Carbine Marksmanship or Master Carbine Counterinsurgency. I am using this to augment my Master Bounty Hunter carbine skills. What is the better choice and why??

For PvP, I'd get the marksmanship tree. You can never have too much accuracy and Crippling Shot at the speed cap puts out some nice DPS. I hope you either have some fast carbines (2.7 or faster) or some speed SEAs though. +85 speed is nice, but as I found out as of late, it's a little nicer to dump those 2.7 speed carbs for 4.0 speed carbs with higher damage if you can speed cap them.

If PvE is your thing, marksmanship is still a nice choice, but Burst Shot 2 is a very nice cone attack that I don't think I could live without lol. Do not get counterinsurgency for Counterattack though. It's simply not working well enough to be worth the skill points.

In the end, if I had to choose one for myself, I'd go with the marksmanship tree. I recommend you read the Carbineer FAQ and the Carbineer Specials thread, then choose what is best for your style.
