Thread: Carbi / Doctor?

Hi folks.

I am new to the job but not too new to the game. I have mastered rifle and almost CH but am looking to start up a carbineer on another server. What you all wrote about the HAM costs is so true that I have concluded that I need to get doctor first. I don't like waiting for buffs but more over, I enjoy being self sufficient.

Does anybody out there have the doc, carbi template? I expect it should be fairly successful.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Not to be a smartarse...well maybe ....there are 149 posts in this forum that include DOCTOR in the title....do the advanced search as this topic has been well covered already.

Not many people talk about Doc being the FotM, but it really can take any prof...even the worst in PvP....and make them strong.

I don't think much of the combo, other than it's a fairly decent for a PVP group support role and I can do Mokks on dant and some Nightsisters on dath (except Protectors and Elders). You'll find it no problem to buff yourself, and have high heal stim D's but make sure you migrate most of your stats to mind pools for when you buff yourself, I have an Elite that eats 274 ham per special.

I used to be a carbineer/ MD for several months, but once I mastered it about 3 or 4 months ago, I gave it up for MBE, then Swordsman. Right now, since I hate being kited by stormies and not entirely useful in PvP, I think I'll go back to carbines since it's just a cool weapon And yes, buffing yourself gets rid of the nasty HAM eating problem (except for mind of course)

No forced interaction (in an MMORPG?), but hey, the expansions sure seem forced.

It is very good in PvE and it can hold it's own in PvP. Not worth the trouble though just to get buffs for yourself. It takes too much effort time and money to dig back and get the resources need for decent buffs. If you already have the materials though, go for it

Combat Medics, no problem. Master Pistoleer/Rifleman/Bounty Hunter, no problem.

Melee professions, no problem. The fact that I am not supposed to die, slight problem.
