Thread: Is there a speed cap?

Or should I ask will there be a speed cap in the combat revamp? If you are a Master Pistoleer you get 74 speed, with master marksman add 5, with BH you get another 50. So my question is whether or not will it matter what skills you have if there is a speed cap? I'm deciding on a PvP template and I want to go Master Pistoleer/ Smuggler 0040/ Master TKA/ Fencer 0430. With that template I would have the slowest pistol speed compared to the other professions with speed bonuses. So I just want to know will being a Master Pistoleer be fast enough in PvP? Does the speed of the weapon matter more than the skills because I would think damage counts more when master. Please help.

you can only fire one shot every second,

if you use a special, the delay could cause you to fire at less then one second though,

bh+pistoleer is nice, i did it and i couldn't find a special that shot slower than one second, not even stopping shot

the speed is great and the specials are good too.

The speed cap is at +100 pistol speed. Once you have +100 or more, every weapon will fire at 1 second. A TKA, for example, has +115. That means if I were to find a 15.4 speed VK, i will still swing it at 1 second.

...cause I have Master BH and Master Carbineer, and wanted to get the + Speed bonuses from FS skills.

Is it ok or a waste of time and effort?

from what ive heard there is no such thing as a speed cap anymore

to me the only thing that is bad for is u can have all the speed in the world and that only means that u are going to drain your action quicker

I think I have a little *too* much speed, the carbine is ready for another shot faster then i can alternate specials so I added a pup that upped the dmg and lowered the speed, need to test if im actually more effective still.
