Thread: Elite Carbine, Crippling Shot, and Legshot 3 thoughts.
Just some ideas for revision of these three while I spend some time camping off wounds...
The Elite Carbine: At the moment, this carbine is generally less useful than most of it's lower-tree counterparts. Whatever the reason for becoming a Carbineer, this gun is usually not one of them. Would the following changes be fair?
- Armor piercing: swap with Laser Carbine. The lower-tree Laser now does Light AP while the much higher-tier Elite does Medium.Gives Carbineers a reason to use them and Marksmen an incentive to continue on to Carbineer.
- Damage: raise minimum and maximum damage slightly (+30 points minimum, +35 points maximum).
- Speed: Drop the base Elite speed by .5.
Crippling Shot: Who else feels that this special should specifically target the Action pool? Right now it's more of an upgrade to Full Auto than to the Legshot line.
Legshot 3: It would be great if the added HAM cost and delay (if/when fixed) were balanced by (much?)greater damage potential and the supposed area-effect radius. Legshot 2 should not be the mainstay of Carbineers for most of their career.

I'm going to have to play my bs card. Maybe, and this is a big maybe...maybe if it was made with krayt tissue you could get it that fast and damaging, but krayt tissue wouldn't raise the minimum damage that high. So it's probably either bs or you just happen to be on an uber server that has **edit** near perfect ditanium steel and polonium iron which I'm skeptical of.
Nope, definately won't believe it until I see a screenshot of it showing the smith's name as well as a screenshot of this uber ditanium and polonium that no other server can apparently match. I'd be alot more inclined to believe that it's stats are being stretched a bit, or that it has a powerup, or that it is really sliced, or any combination of the above.

Nice Elite carbine there. I bought one that was 119-196 at 3.5 speed with a HAM of 24/39/22 unsliced, got it sliced and now it's 130-210 dmg and everything else is the same. Whoever said that your carbine is BS got a very sorry elite carbines on thier sorry. Now if they'd only fix our HAM costs.
If you want to see better elites - ask the devs to remove speicifc resources required for guns.
They did it with Commando guns, and thus smiths can pick and choose(withen a more general field, such as just "iron" isntead of like "XXX iron") and make much better quality commando weapons.
Meanwhile Elites( and T21s and DX2s etc) are dependent on their resources, which tends to make them pretty crappy(unless you server gets lucky and gets some really nice specific resource, which seems rare).
The gun itself is not bad- it seems a tad slow, but AP 1 with very high min damage, and decent max make it a nice gun.
