/wave to the carbineer community, I will be soon one of "you".

I could find a lot of answers to my questions without filtering half the threads and browse 30 pages back which is a very good sign.

I started to feel the need to train carbineer after completting the Nym park and recently the Imperial one. Those little carbines look too nice. I had to surrender CH which was and still a funny profession.

Since you are dropping CH I assume you have no plans for PvE, otherwise that was a huge mistake. Pickup skill attachments and/or BH Carbine for PvP. The Carbineer/Doctor template seems popular but haven't personally tried it yet.

hehe ch helps but get a good level 10 pet and buff their hams and regen...a 5k health action pet with 15 kin resist lasts a wile wen you can stim them for a 2k heal at will. I have no problem killing anything that my weapons can damage for the most part.

And doc/carbineer ROCKS. and were only getting better next patch with our dizzy being fixed.

Edit: oops just left the doc forum heh...so the buff pet trick might not be so easy for you because if you store the pet the buffs are gone : (

Welcome to the famlly : )

The Carbineer/Doctor template is very nice sounding for sure. And it depends what PvE you want to do. How do you fair on Dath solo with 4-5 Mutant Rancors on you and your pet? I can't do it without being buffed, but food gives me enough so Doc buffs are not essential.

After CH I plan on going BH Carbine but maybe I should try Doctor first

i can take 3 mutant rancors buffed as a doc.carbineer master with no pet. Its not easy, and i dont like to take more than 2 of em. I only use my pet on rare ocations buffed...like wen im clearing out mobs that pack a lot and i just want to get it over with. THe non ch pet only realy works good wen i can stand back and back em up because they do crap damage and need a bit of attention with only say 15 kin resist. But get one made as a mount...if you got to buff it and go somplace you should ride it rather than wate for it to keep up heh.

Only thing on darth i fear for the most part are the damn withches that have 100 resist to all my weapons...or a ton of mobs at once : ) The witches are my worst enemy in game atm.

The thing about rancors is if your solo you stay back and use your aoe bleed on em then peace. Most of the time they start fighting themselves and only one or two will charge...then just kite a bit and watch your hams and its all over. then go back and pick off the left overs that are half dead. But if your not a doc or if there are a lot of em and your not master...might want to keep your speeder out incase to many charge ya )"

Ah the reason for the bleed nerf....kiters....

Don't blame ya a bit, but for PvE'ing the toughest stuff around you need a Light Armor, 60% kinetic resist, 10k HAM pet

This games fun comes from the wide variety of character templates and people behind the characters

Hehe i dont actualy kite the rancors i just keep moving so they miss more...they are faster than me and i cant spam kd anymore. But yeh a 10k ham pet with armor and godly kin resist is a godsend for pvm. The non ch buffed pet only realy helps wen your fighting stuff just a bit stronger than you or to many mobs at once. And its cool wen the fight is over and you trick the pet to heal mind and the hams regen super fast by them selves heh. In the end on group hunts i buff the pets regen even if they have 10k hams...dont buff the hams because whats another 3k wen your that strong. But giving them regen saves a lot of stims.

I play as a TK since release and surrendered master dancer for CH months ago. I could not drop TK skills, they are too nice and helpfull ( meditation line ).

My pets miss me a bit, especially my spiders. I wanted to wait the big combat revamp to see how CH will work in PvP but I wasn't enough patient and the carbines were too much appealing.
