Thread: Does accuracy/damage influence the chance of a state/post.down sticking?
Maybe I shold ask the WS to also make the barrel experimented for acc?
I'm always on Citrus btw...can't use the LLC without it

Accuracy does to a certain extent. Snowcake will help land KDs and states, for example.
Damage is rumored to.. I've never tested it out.

Accuracy/damage doesn't affect state laying abilities at all I'm afraid. That all depends on a successful or failed roll against your opponents state defenses. The funny thing is that if you DO land a stun state, then your opponents defenses are all lowered.
I can most assuredly say that Accuracy matters. The Specials have an Accuracy Mod along with their Damage/Delay Mods we have listed in the FAQ. Just like the damage portion of the shot, there must be a formula taking into account the Defense Mod of the target against some modifier of the attacker. We all know that higher end content resists States better and a Master Carbineer can land States better than a Marksman Carbineer. Basic logic says Accuracy plays a part in the calculation for sticking a State....now how much of a role it plays is of course unknown, but there must be an Offensive Counter to the Defense vs. State of the target.
Novamarine specifically tested ChargeShot1 for Accuracy changes when trying to stick the State.....and Accuracy matters. If we didn't have the Combat Upgrade going on I would test it on LIVE.....

I did test it on live with an MBH / M. Carbs friend of mine. Against the same defense-stacking opponent, ChargeShot1/2 and FullAutoSingle/Area 2 are more effective as an offensive Carbineer with high accuracy.
Accuracy food like Snowcake helps somewhat too. The numbers are close enough that I don't feel MBH is required to be a successful Carbineer, but distant enough to see that there is a benefit to having higher accuracy.
