My planned template will seem sort of odd: Master Shipwright, Chef xx1x, Merchant 2x4x and Carbineer 4424/4442.

There's the thing, I cant decide between 4424 and 4442. I wont be PvP'ing at all, Ill be using Carbineer for PvE only, and was just wondering which would be more effective for running missions with.

4424.

Because of FullAutoArea2 and ChargeShot2, which are middle-end PvE essentials.

Hmm, ok, its just I saw BurstShot2 listed as an "essential" because its the highest damage AOE/Cone special, but I suppose the state effects applied are more valuable. Thanks mate.

Actually with so few points in Combat Skills you won't want to use WildShot2 or BurstShot2 or ChargeShot2 or FullAutoArea2....basically any Cone Effect/Multi-Target shot as they will mean certain death for you.

You might want to think about picking up Novice Medic to stay alive since your Offensive Abilities are pretty weak.....Novice Medic + 4402 Carbineer

Unless you are always in a group then those Cone Effect Specials would be awesome.

Merchant 2X4X?????

Now that is confusing....I am a Master Merchant so I do have a perspective on this, and it makes no sense to me XXX4 Merchant is pretty important in my book along with 3XXX for Planetary Advertising.

Im a roleplayer, I want my vendors to have vaguely interesting phrases and I want them to look decent

EDIT: Sod it, Ill drop chef/domestic arts, I can RP brewing up my own booze. That frees up enough skillpoints for Novice Medic and some Management.

EDIT2: Ok, how does this sound: Novice Medic, Master Shipwright, Merchant 3x44, Carbineer 4414.

Well I don't mean to discourage you from RP'ing.....above all else do what is FUN FOR YOU

I like your template now much better

Changed it again, heh.

I just remembered that using Medic skills during combat in our RP community is semi-banned, its fairly unrealistic and its more fun to RP getting yourself healed up in the medical center after a fight anyway.

I wont be usin my combat skill in character much anyway, its just to suppliment my income from Pilot and selling RE'd loot, so I think Ill go for: Master Carbineer, Artisan 4x42, Master Shipwright and Merchant 3x44. Thanks for all the suggestions mate

EDIT: Just to clarify why I wont still need Medic for combat; Ill mainly fight buffed to grind cash, and after the CU, if they follow the "seperate pool for specials" idea, medic wont make much difference to counteracting the Carbineer Specials HAM costs.
